HUNTER POV "You look handsome," Alena stated with her soft voice. Her eyes sparkled while fixing my silver tie. "Thanks," I responded, "I have the best fashion designer," "Pft! I'm not," she giggled, slightly punching my chest,"You know what I want to be, right," she whispered. "Hmm," I hummed. I have known exactly what she wanted since we were little kids. Alena was one of my best friends. My parents actually thought that she might be my fated mate. They told me that this coming inauguration, she should be the one who would be my bearer. My other troops thought the same too, unlike my wolf. Fury was just humming in my mind, pacing back and forth, curling, circling, then napping. The first time I shifted, he told me that my mate would not be in the same place. I am from northern realm, there are south, east, west, and central. Each of our worlds became united into one realm a long time ago during the truce resulted by the great war. All beings now have to compromise to give

Hunter POV"Thank you for not letting this night be put more into a serious fight," Commander Hilalri stated."My apologies for what my comrades did, as well as for Lucas' behavior,""I understand the frustration he's feeling. But what happened today could reach the council."F*ck. I forgot about the council. This event may lead to us failing the assessment, and I can't afford to have that. I shouldn't let this get to the council."Is there another way to prevent these kinds of incidents from reaching the council?""Sorry, but, I'm not the only one who sees this," he whispered, moving closer towards where I was standing. I noticed how careful he is on every word that he says. My gut tells me that someone from the council is here somewhere, hiding or sitting low profile for me not to notice."I understand,""Don't worry though, I will make sure that only he will get the punishment he deserves, as well as his comrades,"By him, he meant Lucas?"He had been being rude from the first day

CREST POV"Don't look at the chair, young lady. Look into my eyes," Aunt Gerard said firmly, her arms crossed at her chest, and her brows almost connected to one another. We are here in her small study room with her daughter, who is my friend, Jillian, and Jillian's boyfriend, Jackston. She was sitting in the middle of the table, with a dim warm light above us. We were like in some kind of interrogation scene."What were you doing?" she paused and breathed in some air, "Sneaking around our house early in the morning? Are you in some kind of training to sneak around houses like this?" she added."I was trying to communicate with her," I pointed out Jill, who was sitting in front of me. Beside her is Jack."But she didn't respond to me, so I tried to maybe get into the house, but I was being considerate not to wake you up, so that's why," I mumbled."If I hadn't seen the situation Jill's in, with her boyfriend in bed, I might have actually lunged into you with my claws. I actually thoug

CREST POV"What do you know that I don't?"She eyed sideways, and bit her lips. "I'm sorry, but as your friend, I don't want to see you hurt, and I also don't want to be the first one to tell you this.""Come one, Stell. I need to know what you and Kristen know about?""Well, it was Kristen who first saw it, then me, then your brother?""My brother?" I gasped."What did you guys see?""We all know that at the last mating ceremony, you and Bryan's bond didn't spark up, right? Then, after that, you too began dating?""Yes, and?" I walked closer to her."Well, after a few months from that, we saw Bryan with some woman, lingering in the human town.""Human town?" "Yes,""Why would Bryan be in that place? It was forbidden without our permission. I mean, my f

Hunter’s POV"Coffee or milk?" Alena asked."Neither."She pouted. "You're no fun," she said, before heading back to the nook near the fridge."What’s 'fun' about it? It's just coffee and milk," I responded."Coffee is like liquid gold; it energizes the body.""We're wolves. Aren't we supposed to have enough energy already?"She rolled her eyes and shrugged. "You're annoying sometimes.""Well, I was just stating facts. Besides, both coffee and milk can lead to high acidity.""Really?" Carter commented. We were back at the barracks. The others had decided to hang out in the living room while waiting for dinner to be cooked. Cromwell was in the kitchen with Renee, while Alena tried to make hot coffee for herself. Levi and Carter were already playing cards, and I think Levi was winning. My wolf was restless. He kept pacing back and forth, yet he didn't seem to understand his own agitation.
