(Author's POV)Tiziana sat alone at the dining table, holding the cloth napkin tightly between her hands as she tried to breathe through the uncomfortable pain in her lower abdomen. It had started the day before and had remained there as a dull, constant ache, but she had tried not to think too much about it because she already knew what would happen if she complained.She did not go to the hospital. The last time she had been there, Adelina had stood at the end of her bed and told the nurse, loudly enough for everyone in the room to hear, that her daughter-in-law had a habit of creating symptoms that did not exist.
