Six’s POVI choked on my muffin and cleared my throat. "Um well with uh..."Ty's eyes widened. "Is he fucking you for the money? What the hell? Are you okay with that?"I shrugged again. "It's not like I could afford to pay him back any other way and he wants me. Six months. That's all I have to put in before he'll let me go. Until then I'm supposed to be staying in his house and working it off."He frowned. "He let you out today?""Nah, I ran."Ty groaned. "Six, you fucking moron.""I know. I know. But he's been gone for a month and I needed to get out of that house for a little while.""Are you going back?"I chugged more of my coffee. "I don't know," I said when I put it down. "I haven't made my mind up yet.""If he found you once, he can find you again you know," Ty said as he leaned closer to me. "This is dangerous.”"Trust me, I know." I sighed and bit my lip. "I didn't think before I did it. One minute I was standing in the room and the next I was climbing over the balcony rail

Amadeo’s POVThe sun rose to find me already awake. My mind was still on everything that was going on, everything I had to do and figure out. Every time I tried to close my eyes my thoughts raced and I couldn't settle.Six shifted beside me and my thoughts drifted to him. He was naked underneath the heavy blanket that I had draped over us the night before. I ran my fingers over his back, up and down, tracing his skin. I knew I'd worn him out, but being with Six was the only thing that calmed my mind. I could have punished him the night before, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I just wanted to hold him close. It had been ages since I had allowed anyone to sleep in my bed, but Six felt like he belonged with me. I buried my nose into the soft silken locks of his hair and inhaled his scent. When it was surrounding me, I felt more like myself. More alive, more awake. More everything. Six was magic in a way that made no sense to me, but I didn't want to be away from him. Ever.Slowly,

Six’s POVI looked in the mirror and decided to ditch what I was wearing.Looking around at the piles of clothes on the bed and chair, I knew I had gone through just about everything I owned, but nothing felt right. I wanted something casual, that didn't look like I was trying too hard. But something that wasn't plain, boring, or too laidback. Frowning, I stared at the clothes and pushed through the piles before I picked up a long-sleeved baby blue button-up and dragged it up my arms again.Never had I gone through so many clothing options for a dinner. Usually, I threw on the first thing I had and did what I had to do. But now that Amadeo was waiting for me, I couldn't decide what would look best. Finally, I settled on a pair of jeans and the button-up shirt and decided that was going to have to be good enough. I pushed my fingers through my hair, smoothing back my wild locks. My face was starting to get stubbled again, but I hadn't shaved. Part of me was waiting for Amadeo to grab m

Six’s POV"Are you going to go see Amadeo?" Ty asked.I leaned back in the car as it drove through the city and nodded, a grin on my lips. "Yep. He's at the casino today so I thought I would stop by and see what he's doing. Maybe give him a blowjob or two if he's stressed out. Gotta pay this debt off you know."Ty’s laughter over the phone made me smile. "We both know you're not doing this for the debt anymore. You like it too much."I waved a hand. "You're insane.""Look at you! It's been three months and he's let you keep my number in your phone, you can leave the house, you have your own driver for fuck's sake! I think it's time to stop lying to yourself man. That guy is into you and you like it!"I caught myself grinning in the rearview mirror and immediately tried to wipe it off my face, but I couldn't. Ty wasn't wrong. When Amadeo wasn't so big and bad, he was pleasant to be around. Gentle even. Maybe the scary facade had just been temporary and this was the man he really was un

Amadeo’s POVFinally, Conor nodded. "I believe you. We both have common goals, it's why we get along as well as we do." The door opened and Darla pocketed her key as she came in with coffee. She sat a cup in front of each of us before she disappeared as quickly as she had come in. Once she was gone, Conor grabbed his cup and frowned. "But that does leave the problem of someone purposely stirring up trouble between us. We can't have that either.""No, we can't," I agreed."Do you have any idea who it could be?"I shook my head. Right now, I wasn't willing to tell him that there was more than dissention in my ranks. That it could be family, it could be someone close doing this to me. Telling him I had no control over my own family wasn't something a guy like me could do. We exuded control, ego, and being poised or we would end up losing the trust and faith of those around us. It was a delicate balance, one that we couldn't afford not to maintain. The world was always ready to tear us ap
