Lahat ng Kabanata ng Forbidden Entanglement With My Father In-Law: Kabanata 71 - Kabanata 80

Myra’s Pov “Nile..” I said with a smile. “It’s good to see your Myra.” He said with a smile and silence stayed between us briefly. “Were you going for the painting as well? He asked and our gaze fell back on it. “No.” I chuckled. “I guess I can have it?” He asked politely. “Sure..” I gestured. “It’s a beautiful piece.” He said to Sera. “May I know who the artist is?” He added. “I would love to as well.” Sera chuckled. “The organizers say it’s an anonymous author.” Nile bought the last painting through the sales representative. It felt good to know people love my art even if I have to stay in the shadows. I drank from my cup of Thai ice tea and had a bit of my snack while I watched the crowd perform. Everyone was having fun in their own way— the jugglers, magicians, jokers.. laughter and excitement filled the air. “I didn’t know you’re a lover of art.” I said simply. Nile was now standing next to me while Sera excused herself. “I do love the beautiful things of the world.” H

Myra’s pov “I should be able to send out the invitations in a few days.” Tiara said to the board and we nodded. Everyone has been assigned positions to hold for the event and they showed great interest in putting it together. This first ball has to be perfect for every reason possible. We do not have the Northway pack on the first list because we want the news of the first ball to spread like a wild fire. The connections built in a few hours of associating with other packs and their members will spread gossip over every other pack.. which would make it almost impossible for any pack to not want to attend, be present and participate. Any pack which decides to decline association would either be doing well or doesn’t need it. The Northway pack falls under both categories.. they should be present no matter what Ethan has to offer.. if they don’t make it to the ball, it would only mean that he has them fully by the balls or they aren’t greedy for success. “I guess that would be all

Myra’s pov “She is not qualified for such a position.” I said politely. “Who are you to say my daughter isn’t qualified?” Lucia glared at me. “I didn’t.” I said simply. “The Alpha did.. you can ask him yourself.” “I’m sure you didn’t ask him.” Charlotte added. “That’s enough.” Father said calmly. “If you had made it through college then we wouldn’t be here.” “Dad..!”“Edward..! How can you talk to her like that.” Lucia patted her daughter’s head gently. He cleared his throat softly. “You should watch out for your sister.” His gaze fell on me briefly and he walked away. “Excuse me.” I walked away at once not waiting to hear another word from Lucia. I might not be getting enough rest, but I intend to stay healthy. At first I saw it as punishment when Aleric instructed me to do all sorts of things. Like not skipping breakfast, stretching and even drinking and bathing lukewarm water… and I can stay that I’ve tried to be consistent and I don’t feel as drained as I usually do an

Myra’s Pov “I love it.. I love you.” Ethan laughed out excited. “You’re beautiful.. you’ve always been.” He added. I pressed my lips in a thin line. “Thank you.” We walked out of the fashion house together and I sat back to get some rest while he drove and my eyes opened when I noticed the car had come to a stop. Several other fancy cars pulled up at the venue. It was an auction event. I could tell from the display outside and the theme was no joke. The guest took it seriously. The few people I have just seen out did themselves beautifully and so did my stylist Otis. He’s so good I wonder why he is at the far end of town and without fame. I couldn’t recognize myself in the mirror when they were done with me.. that’s exactly how I know Ethan was overly flattery. My dress was made to represent the theme water and my make up and accessories as blood. I was looking like the main character in some mystical movie. The red blush and red lips color changed my face in an angle I hav

Myra’s Pov “Father, you ask for me.” I said politely as I walked into the balcony and made a stop next to him. I barely see him around this axis of the house. It’s a great view for my mothers garden which I had just finished trimming some flowers a moment ago.“Larry will rim those flowers for you from now on. You should focus and indulge yourself with nothing else but this family’s and the pack business.” He said simply. “I am doing my work and I can take care of my flowers.” I protested respectfully. Maybe he thinks I only take care of the garden because I have all the time in my hands and never for once thought I enjoy doing it because it’s my only way of connecting with the mother I never knew. “Then make sure to do it right.” His gaze fell on me and I took my gaze to the ground. I hadn’t been able to look him in the eyes for more than a few seconds at a time“I told you I needed more production from the ranch and yet you have nothing after visiting.. for what now? Day? Weeks?”
