Lahat ng Kabanata ng THE WIFE THEY BURIED : Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

**Celine's POV** Diego, was on the bed, but he wasn’t alone. Bianca, my best friend was straddling him completely naked, her dark hair falling over her bare shoulders and brushing against her full breasts. Her hips moved slowly against him in a steady rhythm, grinding down as she rode him. Diego’s hands gripped her waist tightly, fingers digging into her smooth skin, pulling her closer with every thrust. Her head was tilted back, lips parted in pleasure, while his mouth moved hungrily over her neck and chest, sucking and biting at her skin. I could see everything in painful detail. The way her body arched into him, the shine of sweat on their joined skin, the way they moved together like they had done this many times before. The sounds of their breathing and soft moans filled the room. The folder from the clinic slipped from my fingers and fell to the floor with a soft thud. They didn’t notice me at first. I stood frozen in the doorway, unable to look away no matter how much I

**Celine's POV** I waited until the house grew completely quiet. After what I saw in the trunk, I couldn’t sit still. His dying words kept repeating in my head. Metal door… east wing. I slipped out of the bedroom. The east wing of the mansion felt different from the rest of the house. The air was colder. The hallways seemed longer and quieter. I had never come this far before. I moved slowly, listening for any sound. Every creak of the floor made me freeze. I thought I heard footsteps behind me once and quickly hid behind a large vase. I waited, barely breathing. Nothing. It was probably just my mind playing tricks on me. I was already terrified enough. Before I left my room, I had gone into our bathroom like Marcus told me. I lifted the toilet tank lid and found a key exactly where he said Diego hid it. I dried it and kept it in my pocket. At the end of a long corridor I found a heavy metal door. It looked completely out of place among the expensive wood and paintings. I rem

**Celine's POV** The first thing I heard was a steady, rhythmic beeping. My body felt heavy, like I had been asleep for a very long time. I tried to lift my hand, but even that small movement hurt. I tried to open my eyes, but they wouldn't. I tried again, and this time, they slowly fluttered open. Bright light flooded my vision, making me wince. I blinked several times before the room finally came into focus. An IV stand stood beside my bed while machines glowed softly in the corner, their steady beeping filling the room. *Where am I?* I searched for the familiar wooden ceiling of my bedroom, the one I saw every single morning. This place wasn't my room, it was too dark and cold. Then I heard water pouring softly. A blurry figure stood near the window with her back facing me. I blinked until my vision cleared enough to make out a woman watering a small plant on the windowsill. I parted my lips, but the words died before they could leave my throat. She turned imme

**Sam's POV** A man stood a few feet away, even from that distance I could feel something shift in the air around him, just enough to make room for whatever he was. Only then did I notice the men positioned around us. Some near the entrance, others waiting farther back in the dark, all of them stood in a way like they'd done this a hundred times before and knew precisely how it would end. My throat went dry the second I recognized him. It was the same man from the clinic hallway. The one I'd bumped into months ago, the one who'd caught my arm before I could hit the floor. The same cold eyes. The same dangerous stillness that had made me glance back at him even after I'd walked away. *Was he the one who'd pulled me out of the river?* He took a step forward. Then another. By the time he stopped, he was standing right in front of me, close enough that I suddenly forgot how to breathe properly. A sharp jaw, dark hair, eyes that looked at me like I was already somethi

**Sam's POV** The ceiling was the first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes. It wasn't anything remarkable, an old design, a pale color, nothing wrong with the light filtering in through the curtains, but I laid there staring at it anyway, unable to move past the simple fact of it while I tried to work out how I'd ended up in this room at all. Then the memories started coming back, not all at once, but in pieces that landed one after another. The rain still clung to me somehow, even though I was dry now, warm even. I could still feel the cold water, still feel Adrian's grip on my arm, the way he'd looked at me like I already belonged to him before I'd said a single word. I sat up too quickly. The room swayed around me, and I caught myself against the edge of the bed before the dizziness could pull me back down. The dress I remembered wearing was gone. Someone had changed my clothes while I was asleep, or unconscious, or whatever the right word was for the space I'd disap
