Lahat ng Kabanata ng Rejected by My Hockey Alpha Stepbrother #omegaverse: Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

Elliot POVI couldn’t stop pacing.Ever since Miriam had told me Alpha Adrian wanted to see me again, my stomach had been tied in knots. I had barely slept the night before. Every possible explanation ran through my mind, and none of them made sense.Maybe the DNA test had revealed some illness.Maybe there had been a mistake.Maybe they had discovered something about my mother that I didn’t know.Or maybe…Maybe they had decided it was finally time for me to leave Mooncrest Pack. The thought made my chest tighten. As strange as it sounded, this place had already begun to feel safer than anywhere I had lived in years.A knock interrupted my thoughts.“Elliot?”It was Rowan.“You may come in.”The door opened, and the Gamma smiled warmly.“The Alpha is waiting for you.”I nodded and stood, though my legs suddenly felt weak.“Am I… in trouble?”The question slipped out before I could stop it.Rowan’s smile softened.“No.”He placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder.“Not today.”I follow

Damon POVThe room felt unbearably quiet.Ever since the search had been called off, silence had become my greatest enemy. It followed me everywhere.Into my bedroom.Into my office.Onto the hockey rink.Even into my dreams.I sat alone in my room, staring at the old suitcase resting beside my desk.Elliot’s suitcase. The one the border guards had found near the southern border. The one that should have belonged to a wolf who was still alive.Instead…It was all I had left of him.I slowly reached down and opened it again.I had already gone through it dozens of times.Maybe hundreds.Yet I kept opening it, hoping something inside would somehow bring him back. His clothes were folded neatly, just as he had packed them. There weren’t many. Most were old and faded. Some had tiny stitches where they had been repaired by hand.My chest tightened. Was this really all he owned? The future Alpha’s mate…Had left home carrying nothing more than a few worn shirts and a pair of patched trouser

Damon POVI stared at the woman for several long seconds. She was beautiful.Confident.She wore a fitted red dress that turned heads the moment she walked into the bar. Her smile was practiced, and the way she looked at me told me she knew exactly who I was.“The famous Future Alpha,” she said with a playful smile. “You look like you could use some company.”Mason looked at me but said nothing.Normally, I would have turned her away.Tonight, I didn’t care.Maybe Father was right.Maybe I needed to move on.Maybe all I needed was a distraction.Elliot was gone.No amount of grieving would bring him back.I stood and tossed a few bills onto the table.“Come with me.”Her smile widened.“I thought you’d never ask.”Mason watched us leave without saying a word. His expression was filled with concern, but he didn’t try to stop me.The cool night air hit my face as we stepped outside. She slipped her arm through mine as though we’d known each other for years.“You’ve had a rough night?”“

Damon POVAfter my wet dream, I barely slept.Every time I closed my eyes, I saw Elliot.Sometimes he was smiling at me the way he used to from across the dining table.Sometimes he was crying in the dungeon after I rejected him.Sometimes he was simply walking away, never once looking back.I woke before sunrise, exhausted despite spending hours in bed.The bedroom felt suffocating. His suitcase was still sitting beside my desk, exactly where I had left it. I looked at it for a long moment before forcing myself to turn away.I couldn’t keep living like this.Or at least, that was what everyone kept telling me.I showered, dressed in a simple black shirt and dark trousers, and headed downstairs for breakfast.Father was already seated at the long dining table, reading through several reports while drinking his coffee. He looked up when I entered.“Morning.”“Morning.”I sat across from him.Neither of us spoke for several minutes. The servants quietly served breakfast before disappear

Mason POVSomething wasn’t right.I had known Damon almost my entire life.We had learned to skate together before we were old enough to play real hockey. We had gotten into trouble together as kids, celebrated victories together, and picked each other up after every defeat. He was more than my captain and Alpha to be, he was my brother in every way that mattered.Which was why the Damon I had seen over the past few weeks didn’t feel like the Damon I knew.Ever since Elliot disappeared, he had become someone else.Quieter.Colder.Broken.I have a feeling something went down between them too that Damon is not telling me. It doesn’t feel like a man grieving the dead of his stepbrother. It’s also feels like a lover griefing. But then Damon and Elliot? No way. Damon never liked him. I mean so I thought.Yesterday at the bar had only confirmed my fears. For the first time since I have met him, Damon had tried to drown his pain in alcohol. He had even left early, disappearing without his u
