Lahat ng Kabanata ng She Rejected My Touch, I Rejected Her: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

My girlfriend, Rosalie Lowe, started ignoring me over an ordinary argument. She didn't answer my calls or reply to my messages. She only replied with a "yes" when I said I would go to her place in two weeks to celebrate her birthday.I was overjoyed, so I used the money I had originally set aside for a new laptop to buy her a gift. Then, I bought a train ticket and traveled hundreds of miles to the city where she lived. The moment I got off the train, it felt like a lifetime had passed. The 14-hour-long trip was exhausting. For the first time, I felt like I could fall asleep while standing. However, upon the thought of meeting my girlfriend soon, I was thrilled.I was nervous on my way to her campus. I wondered how she would react when she saw me.Would she throw herself into my arms excitedly? Would she nod at me calmly like she always did in the past?Rosalie had always been aloof and prideful. She was distant and beyond everyone's reach.I should be grateful to have someone

"The two of you should stop chatting with each other. This guy looks so awkward here," the driver said.I was grateful that the driver had made a fair point.Rosalie and the man, who were chatting away just now, fell silent. The smile on Rosalie's face vanished. It seemed like she wasn't going to say anything. But the man beside her chuckled. "I'm sorry for neglecting you. I'm Rosalie's senior, Ethan Grant, and I'm one year ahead of her."We're in the same thesis group. If things go well, we'll pursue a PhD together."After saying that, he patted my shoulder. "Are you Rosalie's older or younger brother? Why haven't I heard about you from her?"His tone was calm, but his words were laced with mockery. So he was Ethan Grant, another prodigy from Baston College. This might sound absurd, but I knew this college better than the students here did, all because I wanted something in common to talk about with Rosalie.Ethan's name always appeared on their college forum. He was really

"My relationship with Ethan is complicated. Don't be jealous over nothing," Rosalie said. Her tone was calm, as if she were stating a simple fact.Complicated? I wondered if she thought I was too stupid to realize what was going on between her and Ethan.Did she think it was pointless to explain something between the prodigies to an ordinary person like me?And she even asked me to stop being childish and expected me to ignore their intimate interactions? Should I pretend that nothing happened, just like what I had done in the past?I suddenly felt like laughing. I felt like I was nothing but a dog to her. "Henry…" Rosalie held my hand again.Somehow, I felt reluctant and shook off her hand.Caught off guard, she banged her hand against the door frame.Rosalie froze. Clutching her hand, she furrowed her brows. "Are you pleased now?"Did she think I was getting back at her? Before I could say anything, Ethan rushed over and shoved me away. Looking concerned, he held Rosalie

After I confessed to Rosalie, I remained firm even though people had been questioning my decision.I had done everything willingly, simply because she said she liked me. I had been pursuing her for many years.Although I didn't get into the same college as she did, I secured direct admission to a well-known graduate school in Jesten after years of hard work.I had barely eaten or slept, and I had given up on all extracurricular activities. I had done my best just to be closer to her.I had almost achieved my goal, but things suddenly changed.I knew people changed, but I didn't expect it to happen so soon and unexpectedly. The woman I loved had fallen for someone else.I didn't write a long post to rant about this online, and I also didn't argue with her.All this was pointless. After blocking her number, I grinned at Wayne and said, "Let's go. I'll treat you to a meal!"…Since that day, Rosalie gradually disappeared from my world.Sometimes when I thought of her, I felt a

The night after Rosalie left, I received a message. The person claimed that she was from the same major as Rosalie. She told me a shocking piece of info. "Do you know why Rosalie is willing to be simp for Ethan? Do you know who Ethan's father is?"Rosalie is ruthless. She'll resort to any means, even selling herself, just to achieve her goals."I'm sure you know how it feels to have something taken away from you after working so hard. Both of us are victims."Her words reminded me of my own experience. I didn't even doubt her words.I looked into Rosalie's mentor and discovered that he was also a Grant. After seeing his photo, I immediately knew who he was. Ethan looked just like a younger version of that person.Lily Scott, the person who texted me and who was Rosalie's senior, almost broke down. She said she was so lost and that she even thought of taking her own life.I immediately called her, and I heard the wind howling in the background.I hastily said, "Don't do anyt
