Lahat ng Kabanata ng The Element Wolves: Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 39

It had been days after the sacred ceremony on Wednesday evening. I was just starting to wind down for the night when a sharp knock came at the door. I opened it to find all our friends and their mates standing there with those familiar, cashmere grins. "Hey, Brooke," one of them said with excitement, glancing toward the back of the house. "Can you get Steel, Stone, and Abigail to come out to the garden? We have a surprise for you all." I immediately closed my eyes and sent a mind-link to Steel, Stone, and Abigail, letting them know to meet us outside. A few moments later, we were all walking out to the garden together. The night air was crisp, and the scent of blooming jasmine hung heavy in the garden. As we stepped onto the patio, I saw our friends clustered together, their expressions brimming with anticipation. One of them, Dawn, stepped forward, holding a thick, elegant cream envelope sealed with gold wax. "You four have carried the weight of Burning Star on your shoulders for

The wheels of the plane touched down on the tarmac with a definitive chirp, snapping the final threads of our mountain isolation. The pristine, quiet peace of the lake was thousands of miles behind us now, replaced by the heavy, electric hum of the Crescent pack border. As the truck crossed the official territory lines, a sudden, powerful wave of energy rolled through the cabin. It wasn’t the standard alert of a sentinel returning home; it was a deep, resonant vibration that struck straight into my chest. On my neck, the midnight-blue ink of Steel’s mark flared with a sudden, comforting heat, the intricate wolf's head and wildflowers pulsing faintly beneath my collar. I looked over at Abigail in the seat beside me, her cheeks flushed with that same sudden magic. On her shoulder, beneath the fabric of her dress, the silver crescent moon and stars were answering the call of the land. Our wolves stood taller within us, their posture proud and completely unyielding. We were crossing bac

The air in the subterranean cavern was thick with the suffocating scent of damp earth, stale blood, and the heavy musk of sweat-soaked fur. I stood on the jagged stone ledge overlooking the hollowed-out cavern floor, my claws sinking into the rock as I watched my warriors spar below. They were moving, but they weren't moving fast enough. Not for what was coming. A thunderous bark ripped from my chest, the sheer force of it echoing off the stone walls and bringing the entire cavern to a dead stop. Panting wolves froze mid-strike, their eyes darting up to me in terror. "Train harder!" I boomed, my voice echoing off the cavern roof. "You are moving like sluggish omegas! The pieces are in place, but I will not have this victory ruined by your incompetence. I want you sharper, faster, and more ruthless. No surprises, absolutely nothing, will catch us off guard when the moment arrives." I leaped down from the ledge, landing heavily on the stone floor, the impact sending dust kicking up a

The clock on the wall of the barracks read exactly 12:00 AM,. April 20th. The quiet of the midnight hour hung thick over the territory, the calm before a storm we all knew was coming. After the celebration, the pack house had settled into an alert, watchful silence. Two hundred warriors were stationed in pitch-black shadows across the grounds, a living wall protecting the perimeter. Inside the medical wing, the air was perfectly still. Then, a sharp, icy spike sliced straight through my mind. Brooke! Abigail’s voice tore through the mind-link, tight with a sudden, breathless gasp of pain. It’s time. My water just broke! I was off my cot before my eyes even fully adjusted to the dark. My hand hit the hilt of my dagger automatically, every muscle in my body locking into combat readiness. The truce with time was officially over. "Delta Damien , Selina, Gamma Garrison and Bethany! Wake up!" I barked into the pack's internal frequency, my voice dropping into a commanding alpha tone.

The ancestral ballroom of the Crescent Pack manor had been completely transformed, bathed in a celestial glow that seemed to radiate from the very stones of our home. Thousands of enchanted fairy lights hung suspended from the high, vaulted ceilings, mimicking the brilliant scatter of a starry spring sky. Heavy drapes of midnight-blue velvet and spun silver silk were pulled back from the towering windows, framing the blooming dogwoods and lush green azalea bushes outside. A balmy April breeze drifted through the open glass doors, carrying the sweet, intoxicating fragrance of honeysuckle and night-blooming jasmine to mingle with the grounding scent of roasted meats from the grand banquet tables. I stood at the top of the grand sweeping staircase, my breath catching in my throat as I looked down at the sea of our people. We were united, thrumming with a shared, electric energy that made my skin tingle. I wore a sweeping gown of dark sapphire silk that clung to my curves before flaring
