Chapter 25 — The Missing File Lena stared at the name on Adrian’s phone. Thomas Reed. For several seconds, neither of them spoke. “But you said he was dead,” she finally said. “I believed he was.” “Then why is his number saved in your phone?” Adrian’s eyes remained on the screen. “Because I received a call from him three years ago.” Lena’s stomach tightened. “You never told me that.” “I thought it was a trap.” “And now?” “Now I’m not sure.” Lena looked toward the gate where the black car had disappeared. “Call him.” Adrian did.
