Just read the 'Crimson City' trilogy in order. Ignore the prequel and the standalone until after. The trilogy is the core story, and it's what made Luna Mason popular. The other books are supplemental. If you finish the three and crave more, then 'Shadow's Embrace' provides background, and 'Glass River' is a nice side story. Don't overcomplicate it.

Man, figuring this one out gave me a headache for a solid week. The publication order is so weird because 'Shadow's Embrace' was written last, but it's a prequel to the whole 'Crimson City' trilogy. If you start with 'Crimson City' like I did, the protagonist's mentor is this enigmatic figure whose backstory you only get three books later, which honestly made me appreciate the prequel more.
I'd say go chronological by story: start with 'Shadow's Embrace', then jump into the 'Crimson City' trilogy in order ('Crimson City', 'Ashen Fall', 'Ember's End'). It makes the emotional payoff in the finale of 'Ember's End' hit way harder. The standalone 'Glass River' can go anywhere after 'Ashen Fall', but it has a minor spoiler for a side character's fate, so maybe slot it in last. The world just feels more coherent that way, and you watch the magic system evolve from its gritty origins.

Honestly? Publication order. The author developed their style and worldbuilding across the series, and reading the prequel first kinda ruins some of the mysterious atmosphere in the original trilogy. You're supposed to be as confused as the main character in 'Crimson City' about the older factions. Reading 'Shadow's Embrace' first hands you all the answers on a platter and flattens the tension. Just tackle them as they were released: the trilogy, then the standalone, then the prequel if you're still invested. It's the order that worked for everyone initially, so it can't be wrong.

I'm gonna be the contrarian here and suggest you don't need a strict order. The standalone 'Glass River' is actually the best entry point—it's set in the same world but follows completely new characters, so there's zero prior knowledge required. If you like the writing and the vibe, then you can decide if you want the epic trilogy ('Crimson City' onward) or the grittier prequel. This saved me when I was unsure about committing to a five-book universe. Mason's books are pretty self-contained within each story arc, so jumping around based on your mood (want a heist? 'Glass River'. Want a war? start the trilogy) is totally valid and less intimidating.

The contract was for ninety days. The obsession is for an eternity.

But as the scent of dark cedar and rain consumes my senses, the truth emerges from the darkness: Connor didn’t just happen to be at the registry that day. He has been stalking my shadows for years, waiting for the moon to finally break me so he could claim the pieces.
Now, as I fight to reclaim my throne on the international stage, my enemies are closing in. Sloane Pierce and the remnants of my old pack are determined to see my reputation torn to shreds, using every dirty tactic to expose my secrets. They think I’m alone. They think I’m vulnerable.
They haven't met my husband.

First book in the Silver Wolf Prophecy Series
In the small town of Silverwood, werewolves are a part of everyday life. Luna, a fiercely independent and strong-willed werewolf, has always felt like an outsider. But when she meets Jaxon, a mysterious and brooding werewolf, she feels an instant attraction. As their romance deepens, Luna uncovers a conspiracy that threatens to tear them apart. With the help of her pack, Luna fights to protect her loved ones and her true identity, even if it means putting herself in danger. Will Luna and Jaxon be able to overcome the obstacles in their way, or will their love be destroyed by the forces working against them? You can only find out when you read the story to the end.
This is going to sound unhelpful, but... does it matter? Her books are so interconnected that you'll get references no matter where you start. I jumped into 'Silver Veins' completely cold, loved it, and then went back to read everything else. The non-linear storytelling is part of the charm. You piece the puzzle together alongside the characters.
Trying to enforce a rigid order takes some of the magic out of it. Just pick a series that sounds interesting and dive in. The fan communities are great at helping you fill in blanks if you get curious about backstory. Sometimes the best way to explore a universe is to get a little lost in it first.
