Kal, Shallan, Dalinar, Adolin, Navani, and Szeth are safe bets. Venli and the Singers will have a continued role. The wild card is what Brandon does with Taln and Ash; their promised flashback book is coming up, so their presence should increase. I just want to see more of the Heralds' fractured minds.

Most of the main crew will be back, but honestly, I’m more curious about the ones who might not come back, or who might change drastically. Is Moash going to show his face again? Probably, but I wish he wouldn’t. Taravangian’s new… situation… guarantees he’ll be a major player, which is terrifying.

Navani is a lock, especially with her new discoveries. The big question mark for me is Rock. After the events at the end of the last book, his return feels uncertain, and that makes me sad. I miss his cooking and his perspective. The fan forums are buzzing about potential worldhoppers from other Cosmere books making an appearance, too, which seems increasingly likely.

I'm pretty sure the core Radiants all make it to the next book. Kaladin, Shallan, Dalinar—they're the backbone, so they'll be there. Adolin’s fate is a huge cliffhanger after 'Rhythm of War', so he’s definitely returning, probably with some wild developments regarding his Blade. I’m also betting on Szeth getting a lot more page time, given where his story is heading.

What I’m less certain about are the supporting cast. Will Jasnah’s political maneuvering take center stage, or will she be more in the background? I’ve seen a lot of speculation about Lift popping up again, which would be fun. And I really, really hope we get more from Renarin’s perspective. His quiet, unsettling visions feel like they’re building to something massive that hasn’t paid off yet.

Which characters return in the Stormlight Archive next book?

I’ve been eagerly theorizing about which characters will return in the next installment. Given the cliffhangers in 'Rhythm of War,' I’m certain Kaladin, Shallan, and Dalinar will continue their arcs—especially with Kaladin’s mental health journey and Shallan’s identity struggles. Navani’s newfound role as a Bondsmith is bound to play a huge part, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Adolin’s connection to Maya deepens. Secondary characters like Lift, Renarin, and Jasnah are also likely to return, considering their unresolved plots. Lift’s quirky humor and growing importance to the Knights Radiant make her a fan favorite. Renarin’s visions and his bond with Glys could take center stage, especially with the looming threat of Odium. And Jasnah—queen, scholar, and badass—will probably have more political maneuvering ahead. My wildcard pick? Szeth, given his oathstone arc and potential redemption. The next book is shaping up to be epic!

the characters, the sheer epicness—it’s everything I crave in fantasy. The author, Brandon Sanderson, is a legend in the genre, known for his insane work ethic and intricate magic systems. He’s already confirmed he’s working on the next book, and given his track record, it’ll probably be another masterpiece. Sanderson is the kind of writer who actually delivers, unlike some who leave fans hanging for years. I’m already hyped for the next installment, especially after that cliffhanger in 'Rhythm of War'.

What are the new characters in stormlight archives book 3?

Book 3 of 'The Stormlight Archive,' titled 'Oathbringer,' introduces a bunch of fresh faces that really shake things up in Roshar. One of the most intriguing is Ash—she’s this mysterious, almost ethereal figure who’s tied to the ancient past of the Knights Radiant. Her interactions with Dalinar hint at deep, unresolved history, and her presence feels like a puzzle piece clicking into place. Then there’s Szeth’s new mentor, Nightblood, a sentient sword with a hilarious yet terrifying personality. The way Nightblood casually talks about "destroying evil" while being utterly oblivious to nuance is both chilling and darkly comic. Another standout is Lift, who technically debuted earlier but gets way more spotlight here. Her irreverent humor and unique Surgebinding abilities—like turning food into Stormlight—make her a fan favorite. The dynamic between her and Dalinar’s crew adds a much-needed lightness to the story’s heavier themes. And let’s not forget the Fused, especially Lezian the Pursuer. His relentless hunt for Kaladin turns into this brutal cat-and-mouse game that showcases Brandon Sanderson’s knack for escalating tension. The way these new characters weave into the existing tapestry of the series is just masterful storytelling.

Are there any spoilers for the next book in Stormlight Archive?

I’ve been a die-hard fan of 'The Stormlight Archive' since the first book, and I’ve learned to tread carefully when it comes to spoilers. Brandon Sanderson is known for his intricate plotting and surprising twists, so discussing the next book, 'Wind and Honor,' is tricky. From what I’ve gathered, Sanderson has dropped hints in interviews and his live streams, but nothing earth-shattering. For example, he mentioned that Kaladin’s arc will take a darker turn, and we’ll see more of Shinovar. Some fans speculate about a major character death, but Sanderson hasn’t confirmed anything. I avoid deep-diving into fan theories because half the fun is the unexpected journey. If you’re spoiler-sensitive, I’d steer clear of forums until the book drops. For now, I’m replaying the last scenes of 'Rhythm of War' and picking up subtle foreshadowing. The way Sanderson writes, even tiny details matter. Like that cryptic line from Wit about 'the true desolation.' It’s probably a clue, but I refuse to ruin the surprise.

When will the next book in Stormlight Archive be released?

but even he needs time to craft something as epic as 'Stormlight Archive'. Based on his recent progress bars, book 5 (tentatively titled 'Knights of Wind and Truth') is deep in revisions. Sanderson aims for a late 2024 release, but knowing his transparency, he'll delay if it needs more polish. I'm personally hoping for December 2024 – perfect stormy weather reading. The man did write four secret novels during pandemic lockdowns though, so never underestimate his speed when cosmere inspiration strikes.

it's set to release in late 2024. This series has been my go-to for epic world-building and complex characters. The way Sanderson weaves multiple storylines together is just mind-blowing. I can't wait to see what happens with Kaladin, Shallan, and Dalinar next. The last book, 'Rhythm of War', left so many questions unanswered, especially about the true nature of the Heralds and Odium's plans. 'Wind and Truth' promises to be another massive tome filled with twists, deep lore, and those signature Sanderlanche climaxes.

Which characters star in the stormlight archive novellas?

I can’t help grinning talking about these — the Stormlight novellas really highlight some of my favorite side characters in such intimate ways. The two main published Stormlight novellas are 'Edgedancer' and 'Dawnshard'. 'Edgedancer' very clearly stars Lift, with her spren Wyndle playing a huge role alongside her. It’s basically Lift’s spotlight: her voice, her weird priorities (food first, then mysteries), and the way she grows into someone who actually tries to help people. Wyndle is right there with her, and you get the mix of levity and surprising heart that makes Lift such a strange and lovable lead. 'Dawnshard' centers on Rysn — you see her stepping up from the merchant-interlude spot she had before into a full-on protagonist role. She’s joined by a small, quirky crew (you’ll recognize at least one familiar Bridge Four face) and the novella leans into exploration, old powers, and how a comparatively ordinary person deals with extraordinary things. Both pieces also bring back spren and recurring world figures in cameos, so you get both the personal stories and the wider Cosmere threads peeking through. I loved how each novella used one core viewpoint character to open up corners of the world the main novels only teed up; they feel like little side quests that leave a surprising emotional aftertaste.

As a die-hard fan of Brandon Sanderson's epic fantasy series, I’ve been eagerly tracking every detail about the upcoming 'Stormlight Archive' installment. The publisher for all books in the series, including the next one, is Tor Books, a powerhouse in the fantasy genre known for its high-quality releases. Tor has been instrumental in bringing Sanderson’s intricate world-building and character arcs to readers worldwide. Given Sanderson’s consistent collaboration with Tor, there’s no doubt the next book will uphold the same standards of excellence. The publisher’s commitment to immersive storytelling and stunning cover art makes them the perfect home for such a monumental series. Fans can expect the same level of care and attention to detail that has made 'The Stormlight Archive' a cornerstone of modern fantasy.

As a die-hard fan of Brandon Sanderson's epic fantasy series, I've been eagerly following every update about 'The Stormlight Archive'. The next book in the series is titled 'Wind and Truth', slated for release in late 2024. This fifth installment promises to delve deeper into the mysteries of Roshar, focusing heavily on Szeth's journey and the unfolding conflict between the Knights Radiant and the forces of Odium. Sanderson has hinted at major revelations about the Heralds and the true nature of spren. Fans can expect breathtaking battles, emotional character arcs, and the kind of intricate world-building that makes this series a masterpiece. As a die-hard fan of Brandon Sanderson's work, I keep a close eye on any updates about 'The Stormlight Archive'. Sanderson is known for his tight-lipped approach to spoilers, especially for unreleased books. He occasionally shares small tidbits during livestreams or Q&A sessions, but these are usually vague and non-spoiler-y. The fandom on Reddit and 17th Shard forums is pretty good at tagging spoilers, so major leaks are rare. That said, Sanderson did release some sample chapters from the next book during the 'Secret Project' Kickstarter, but they were carefully selected to avoid big reveals. If you're worried about spoilers, I'd avoid deep diving into fan theories or unverified leaks. The community generally respects the 'no spoilers' rule, but it's always safer to steer clear of speculative threads until you've read the book yourself.
