My boots still remember the crunch of gravel outside that cave mouth, and the first thing I do is listen. What stands guard isn't glamorous: a ring of nimble goblins with rusty short swords, three wiry archers perched on ledges, and a loping, scarred worg that snarls whenever it hears footsteps. Late-night stakeouts taught me to respect the variety at a goblin cave entrance.
