Which Natasha Madison Book Starts The Something So Series Order?

Finished the 'Something So' books out of order and got super confused. Is Something So Right the first story, or does it spin off from another series?

Ugh, memory's a bit hazy on this one, but I'm pretty sure the series kicks off with 'Something So Right'. The order gets a little messy with the spin-offs, but the original core series about the hockey players starts there. If you jump in with a later book, you'll probably miss some foundational family drama and character introductions.

I'd double-check the author's website or Goodreads series page to be absolutely sure, though. Sometimes these indie romance series have prequel novellas that complicate the official reading order.

You know, I read this series completely out of order based on which library copies were available, and it was a disjointed mess. I read book three, then one, then two. While each romance stands alone, I kept encountering emotional references or established relationships that I had no context for. It lessened my investment.

So from the perspective of someone who did it wrong: start with 'Something So Perfect'. The slight overarching narrative about the friend group's evolution makes more sense and feels more rewarding when experienced linearly. I wish I had.

Wait, are we sure it's not 'Something So Right'? I could have sworn I saw that listed as the first somewhere. Maybe it depends on which retailer you're looking at? I've had that happen before where the publication order gets scrambled on some sites.

I'm going to have to go back and look at my own reading history now because this is going to bug me. Does anyone have a link to her official series page? I don't want to give the wrong info and mess up someone's reading experience.

My paperback copy has a number on the spine. It's a small '1' right under the title. So if you're buying physical books, that's the easiest way to tell. I wish all publishers did this consistently. It would prevent so much online confusion.

For the 'Something So' series, the first three books are neatly numbered 1, 2, and 3. So when you're at the bookstore or looking at a photo online, just look for that little digit. 'Something So Perfect' is the one with the '1'. Problem solved without even needing to remember the title.

I appreciate when authors make their series order clear on their websites. Natasha Madison's site has a 'Series' tab that lays it out visually. The 'Something So' series is shown with three books, and the first is 'Something So Perfect'. It's a clean, professional presentation that eliminates guesswork.

More authors should do this, honestly. The number of times I've had to sleuth through Goodreads reviews to find reading order is ridiculous. So, for future reference, her website is a great resource for all her interconnected series.

How do you read Natasha Madison books in order by series?

Just pick the couple that sounds most interesting to you. Romance is about the central pairing, first and foremost. The series order is mostly for Easter eggs and side characters. The main love story in any given book is always complete. I started with 'Only One Regret' because the blurb about second-chance romance hooked me. Loved it. Then I went back and read the others to learn about the brother and cousins mentioned. Worked perfectly for me.

How are Natasha Madison romance series connected in reading order?

My Kindle library is a testament to chaotic reading. I have Madison books scattered everywhere, read based on nothing but the cover and my mood that day. And I loved every single one. Did I sometimes get a spoiler for a previous book's baby or engagement? Yeah. But in romance, the HEA is a given anyway. The journey is the point, not the destination spoiler. Knowing two people end up together doesn't ruin seeing how they get there. So, if a spoiler for a previous book's outcome is your main fear, I'd relax. It's a romance novel; the spoiler is literally 'they fall in love and live happily ever after.' The fun is in the specific bumps along the road.

Is there a chronological timeline for all Natasha Madison books in order?

The author occasionally mentions in Facebook posts or newsletters which book fits where for super fans asking. But she hasn't compiled it into one official document. The series guides are the official stance, and they work perfectly.

Lurking here and taking notes. Y’all are convincing me to clear my schedule for this. The list from the third comment seems definitive. To my TBR it goes, in that exact order.

Which Natasha Preston book starts the chronological reading order?

I've read a few, and they all function like episodes of 'Black Mirror'—same genre, different casts and settings. So the 'chronological order' is as meaningful as the order you watch 'Black Mirror' episodes. Which is to say, not very. Start with the most popular episode ('The Cabin').
