In What Order Should I Read Natasha Madison’S Southern Books?

Confused after starting this romance series out of sequence; need a chronological list for Natasha Madison's Southern novels, maybe including the timeline with the weddings and family trees.

I’m only on book three, so I can’t give the full order. But I started with 'Something So Right' and it’s been smooth sailing so far! Everyone seems to know each other, so I’m glad I didn’t start later. The Goodreads series page lists them in order, that’s what I’m using.

Honestly? Look at the publication dates and read them in that order. That's how the majority of readers experienced them as they came out. The author released them with the knowledge of what readers already knew. 'When in Rome' was written after the fact because readers demanded the parents' story.

So the 'original' journey is: 'Made in Italy' (2019), 'Return to Me' (2019), 'The Second Chance' (2020), 'The Final Chance' (2020), then 'When in Rome' (2021). Experiencing the mystery of the parents' past alongside the kids, and then finally getting the full picture, was incredibly satisfying for those of us who followed along live.

My two cents: it depends if you're a completionist or a sampler. If you know you'll read all five, go chronological: 'When in Rome' first. If you're not sure and just want to see if you like her style, read 'Made in Italy'. It's the most representative of her blend of steam, family drama, and Southern setting. If it grabs you, you can then decide to go back to the prequel or continue forward.

Don't start with 'Return to Me' though. The heroine's emotional state is a direct reaction to events in the first two books; starting there is like walking into a movie at the third act.

I'm gonna be the dissenting voice here. I read 'The Second Chance' first because it was all over my feed, and I loved it. Went back and read the others after. Did I spoil some major family plot twists for myself? Absolutely. Did I still enjoy seeing how those twists came to be? Also yes.

Sometimes, starting with the most emotionally resonant book pulls you in harder. Knowing how things end for the family made reading the earlier, happier times incredibly bittersweet. It's a different experience, not necessarily a worse one. If you're someone who hates spoilers, don't do this. If you're more character-driven and don't mind knowing outcomes, it's a valid path.

Honestly, just use Goodreads. Go to the 'Something So Right' book page, click on 'Series,' and it will show you all the books in the correct numbered order. That’s what I did. It lists all ten books in the 'Something So' / 'This Is' / 'When I Was' saga as Part 1 through Part 10. No guesswork needed.

How do you read Natasha Madison books in order by series?

13 答案2026-08-05 21:58:01
Just pick the couple that sounds most interesting to you. Romance is about the central pairing, first and foremost. The series order is mostly for Easter eggs and side characters. The main love story in any given book is always complete. I started with 'Only One Regret' because the blurb about second-chance romance hooked me. Loved it. Then I went back and read the others to learn about the brother and cousins mentioned. Worked perfectly for me.

In what order should I read Miranda James Southern Ladies series?

Check your local used bookstore. They often have a 'Mystery Series' section where they shelf them in order. I found the first four that way, lined up neatly. It was satisfying to just grab them off the shelf in sequence. The owner even had a handwritten note about the series being 'gentle Southern sleuthing.' Sometimes the physical curation of a good bookstore is the best guide. They've already done the work for you.

How are Natasha Madison romance series connected in reading order?

14 答案2026-08-05 18:57:01
My Kindle library is a testament to chaotic reading. I have Madison books scattered everywhere, read based on nothing but the cover and my mood that day. And I loved every single one. Did I sometimes get a spoiler for a previous book's baby or engagement? Yeah. But in romance, the HEA is a given anyway. The journey is the point, not the destination spoiler. Knowing two people end up together doesn't ruin seeing how they get there. So, if a spoiler for a previous book's outcome is your main fear, I'd relax. It's a romance novel; the spoiler is literally 'they fall in love and live happily ever after.' The fun is in the specific bumps along the road.

Is there a chronological timeline for all Natasha Madison books in order?

The author occasionally mentions in Facebook posts or newsletters which book fits where for super fans asking. But she hasn't compiled it into one official document. The series guides are the official stance, and they work perfectly.

What is the correct reading order for Natasha Madison hockey books?

Can we just appreciate that we have this many books to argue about the order of? What a wonderful problem to have. A decade ago, we'd be lucky to get a trilogy. Now we have a whole hockey league's worth of romance. I'm not complaining about the complexity; I'm celebrating the abundance.
