Marry Me, Madison
Author: Ayinne Eiram

Prologue

Madison POV

The church was full of different kinds of majestic decorations. A theme of white and gold, the color that is perfectly expressing both purity and prosperity. Indeed, it is  really f*cking wonderful. A wonderful place to exchange vows for eternity. Tch, But then... On this fre*king wonderful day, who? Tell me who would have thought?! Who would have thought that arggh! A mere guest like me who was forced to attend this d*mn wedding of my damn stepsister will become the bride??!

"Gavin Morgan, do you take Madison Wilhenberg, to be your wife and promise to be true to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. Will love her and honor her all the days of her life, till death do you apart?”

“I do ”

“And you Madison Wilhenberg, do you take Gavin Morgan to be your husband and promise to be true to him in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. Will love him and honor him all the days of his life, till death do you apart? "

I blankly stare at the priest. Is he waiting for my response? Ahhh, why are they staring at me? Even this pretty faced like mannequin guy is looking at me. Stop glaring, will you?

The priest tilts his head as I look back at him. The words that escape my mouth make the man standing in front of me staring as if nothing happened.

“I… Do I?”

End of Madison POV

*Moments ago*

“Where is the bride??? The wedding will soon start!”

Hasty dialing her daughter's phone,  Miranda started to panic.  “Marriano, she won’t pick up her phone.”

“Miranda, the wedding is about to start! Where is your damn daughter??”

“She is your daughter too, Marriano”

After having some few exchanges of quarreling, Miranda asks the wedding organizer.

“Can we just wait for a little more? I’m sure they are on their way here”

“All the guests are asking if there is something wrong. Where is the bride?”

The organizer asked her with an annoyed face. They were all shocked as the groom who was waiting in his lodge finally revealed himself. Looking at his luxurious wristwatch, his whole existence is shouting how rich he is. A finely made tuxedo with an elegant bow tie that is perfectly matching his outfit.

Undoubtedly, he is Gavin Morgan, the main center of attraction in this whole wedding ceremony.

“Mr. Wilhenberg, I assume this is the perfect time to start the ceremony. Where is your daughter?”

“Mr. Morgan… she…”

Sweat can be seen rushing down his forehead. It was an air-conditioned place yet he was taking out a cold sweat. Gavin notice it and didn’t bother to ask what is the matter. All he is concerned about is whether he will get married today or not. Whether the ceremony will continue or be postponed.

“She is right here. The… bride is here. We shall start the ceremony, Mr. Morgan”

A girl with a cold gaze to her stepmother broadly look at her father who was wagging his tail like a good and obedient dog. Her deep green orbs then fall into Gavin’s blue one.

“Is it her?”

“Y-yes. She is the one you will marry.”

“What?”

Miranda tightened her clench in Madison’s arm making her glare and slap Miranda’s hands. The old lady didn’t bother with what Madison had done. Her fool daughter escaped her own wedding, Madison is their only hope. She can’t argue with her or else things will get more chaotic.

“If that’s it, where is her veil? And what’s with that kind of outfit?”

“I don’t care whether she is wearing a veil or not. I don’t even bother marrying even if she is just wearing a rag or none. Hurry up, I want this to finish as soon as possible ”

“Y-yes sir"

Madison POV

I was attending this wedding just because I have no choice. I and Massie are not that close. In fact, I hate her to guts. Just seeing how loved she is, makes me puke. Just seeing her existence makes me be reminded of what my father did to my mother. How he cheated and make this woman who isn’t his wife bear his child.

Now he wants me to marry someone who supposes to be my stepsister’s supposed to be husband? Is he thinking of me as a substitute? A replacement?

I look at  myself only to find me standing in front of the big door. Should I run? Or should I marry him? To be honest, I not know what to do in my life. That man, I mean… the one who I will get married to… he is handsome. Got some damn pretty face.

The door soon opened. What a rush, I thought to myself as I walk in my usual pace. I assume, bride are suppose to walk in a slow pace but in my case… the hell I care. Just look at me. Look how I ruin this stupid wedding of these people.

Cold gazes are piercing in me as I carelessly walk the way I wanted to. No ones gonna stop me. Why so? I just think that my soon to be husband is no simple guy. Bet they don’t want to make chaos or…

Stopping what I am thinking of, his face seems to be telling me to walk faster. I stop midway and lock my eyes on him. Taking a small steps every second, I finally tune with the slow beat of the wedding march.

Annoyance can be seen on his face but it didn’t last for a long time. In fairness to him, he still have a nice face even if he is mad. I stopped in my teasing and naturally walk down the aisle.

“I thought it will take a whole day before you finally have your way here.”

I didn’t talk back and just keep my poker face. I don’t want to talk back to him. Not inside this church.

“Father, let’s skip those parts. Just head straight to the I do part, please?”

“Sure, Mr. Morgan. It looks like you cant wait to marry her..."

"Yes”

Replying with a innocent smile, I cant help but think how two face he is. Alright, I won’t argue. It’s not like I would finish this ceremony. The best way to end a wedding is when the bride is running~

I slightly giggled in my thoughts. How amazing it is, they both rhyme perfeeeectly.

“I… Do I?”

I am expecting to see them jaw drop but what surprised me is when he did the things I didn’t expect or even tried to imagine happening to me. His response to my word is a smirk. Taking a step forward and leaning to my direction, I tried to step back only to feel his hand touching the back of my waist. He is holding my weights to not make me fall.

“Yes, you do”

And with that, his lips slowly touches mine.
