Honestly, I mostly remember the parks. The one in the snow, the one on the island, the one with the caves... the plots blur but the settings are burned into my brain. I should probably do a re-read in order just to stick Anna's personal drama to the right backdrop.

They're connected by a feeling. A feeling of vast, beautiful, indifferent nature, and a small, determined woman trying to find justice within it. That feeling is in every book, regardless of the order. You could open any one to a random page and get that sense of place and purpose. So while the timeline adds depth, the soul of the series is present in every installment, making any entry point valid.
