Books Set In Las Vegas Novels & Stories

You just had to follow the direction of the individual arrows. “Administration office or visitor center?” I wanted to know. "We should report to the chief smoker." So administration office. The arrow pointed to a two-story building on the left that looked just as inviting as a high-security wing. Large shop windows that gave a view of the interior, but were secured by steel bars so that nothing could penetrate there uninvited. A sight that you saw everywhere on the streets these days. The times were very uncertain and Venators also wanted to feel safe in their retreat. "Well then we should go and introduce ourselves."

Five territories carved the city like slices of a poisoned pie. North Las Vegas was Rodney's domain. It reeked of gunpowder and desperation, with drugs flooding the streets and gangs carving up the poor like chum for the sharks. Downtown belonged to Alex, that sadistic prick with his casinos rigged tighter than a virgin's corset. He ran backroom card games where debts got settled in blood and broken bones. Summerlin was Piper's playground. It was all polished facades hiding real estate scams and money laundering laundromats, her high-stakes poker nights drawing in whales too dumb to smell the trap.

Therefore, Miguel believed that the second option must be true, and it gave him hope that if they could get hold of this book, the spell it contained would surely help them contact Nadir in the Underworld and get the message across. - We have to find this book, at all costs.- Miguel was talking to himself as he searched the internet for places selling old books, especially on the subject of magic or esotericism. And he really did thought so - for Miguel was ready to get rid of all his savings, if only to get his hands on the book. Additionally, Nadir left behind not only her belongings and clothes, but also quite a lot of money earned while working at the bar. As it was all cash, Miguel gave

When the plane landed, the afternoon sun was fierce, glaring through the window and making it hard to open my eyes. I walked out of the airport with my small suitcase, and a dry wind carrying the scent of dust hit my face. I squinted, pulling up the collar of my jacket. The view outside the car window quickly faded from the bustling Vegas Strip to an endless expanse of red rock and desert. "The Oasis," the Costello family's largest money-laundering hub in Nevada, and also its most notorious den of vice.

If I was taking my gun, that meant one more person wasn't going to be staying on this earth. --- Chapter 8 KNOX The night was young as I sat in a VIP booth in, Angel Eyes, a new club that had just opened in Las Vegas, by myself. The man I was supposed to be meeting hadn't shown up yet. Which pissed me off. If I was going to come all the way to Las Vegas, he needed to be on time. A new group of people walked into the club. The two women were hot, but they had guys with them.

"Alright, then. Let's go to the nightclub's grand opening," Lara closed her notebook. "I will swing by home and change before." Why would anyone be in Las Vegas if not to indulge in the best the sin city had to offer? What the books recounted, what the movies showed, what people saw... none of it represented Vegas as well as the Casinos, the nightclubs, and the dirty money. The city of sin, indeed, was not for amateurs. A few hours later, the women were leaving Lara's house and heading to the club. They entered, bouncing with excitement. Lara probably hadn't been to a party to dance and drink since she was 14 and running away from her father.

He hooked his thumb over his shoulder. He seemed to think that I was an exception, because I was sitting in a gigantic hotel lobby and I was the only person reading a book instead of gambling in the huge attached casino. I glanced back down to my book, and the play button my thumb was hovering over and shrugged my shoulders. “Reading and music are good ways to pass the time.” His fingers stopped typing, and he quirked his brow at me. “You’re in Vegas to pass the time?” “My mom’s in the casino.”

“Yes, I already RSVPed for you, yes and the information is in your top drawer. I added it to your calendar already. You should really pay more attention to that. Your suits are at the dry cleaners and you will be sharing a plan with six other Alphas in this region.” Finding the invitation, well, more like summons. I saw this year in Las Vegas! Hell yeah! Gambling and women! I can handle that! “I am a little jealous. Las Vegas? I always win big! But remember, what happens in Vegas, can and will follow you home! Not everything is curable!” Smirking at that, isn’t that the truth. “Good thing I don’t have a mate!” Red, hot flashes of this mystery woman ran across my mind as I pictured her in dif

Lora Lins got up from her huge bed, in front of a winter fireplace, feeling like the most privileged woman in town for having that vision. Lora put on her fine silk robe and walked out of the room. The sunny morning shimmered outside the apartment, illuminating the sins of Las Vegas, gilding its promiscuous image. The room was filled with large windows, all facing the most desirable part of the city, the Strip.

Rosalynn's POV. “Miss, are you sure that you want to come down here?” “Miss!” It wasn't until Alex called for the second time that I snapped out of the thoughts enveloping me. I glanced across the street at the most famous bar in the city. It was not yet dark, but the bar had turned on its bright electric lights, making it extremely prominent on the street. A large crowd of people continuously flowed in and out freely. Because this was Las Vegas, all business activities like bars, and casinos were normalized.
