They lay there in bed, Rhys on his back, finding the position comfortable, and Amira on her side, one hand holding the book, the other extended over the pillows to soothingly stroke him.
“You don’t have to be so nice. I know I’ve been a pain,” Rhys said, putting his book down. He’d been stuck on the same page for the last ten minutes whilst his thoughts went wild, and he secretly watched Amira.
Nisha told him there was no such thing as ‘secretly watching Amira’', she knew Rhys was watching her but pretended not to notice, allowing his thoughts to go astray.
