“Sorry, I don't understand.” I answered, feeling really puzzled by his words. I didn't understand what a breeder was. “What is a breeder?” Ulric sighed, but not as if running out of patience, but more as in ‘ok, let me explain it’. “Breeder is like a surrogate. My thoughts spiraled, each more dire than the last. What had happened to Jane? Was she even still Jane? The vacant look in her eyes didn’t belong to the girl who just spoke to me.
