That icy tone, soaked in disdain, was all the identification she needed. Layla was the Brown family's biological daughter, while Amelia was merely their adopted one.

Doll said walking towards Amelia and she smiled. An hour later Amelia was dressed in lingerie.. same like the girls in a Playboy magazine. Her shoes were white too, but they were the kind of cute round shoes which were specially designed for little girls. Amelia's heart gave a traitorous twist. She crouched down instinctively, slow, not smiling, just trying not to spook whatever this was between them. "Hi there. You must be the boss around here." The haunted cherub just stared at her. But gaze flicked downward to her boots. Cracked leather. Purple laces. Salt stains. The kind of shoes you wore when you'd run out of better options. That reaction was enough. Amelia let herself smile. Not big. Just soft. "Yeah, they're ugly. But you can slide on hardwood like a champion. Ask my tailbone."

Amelia yelled. It has been twenty minutes already and Rey still hadn't shown up. Did it really take that long for a man to get dressed? Amelia sighed heavily as she dropped the last piece of bananas in the basket. It had been a while since she last visited the picnic area, she was so excited and it was obvious in her style. Amelia was dressed in a silky flowing maxi dress with pink floral prints. Her hair flowed down from under her wide brimmed hat. She always liked sandals with little heels and the espadrille wedge was just the one.

I said clinging onto her hand. Skye's smile widens and wrapped her arms around my waist. "Damn my friend she's definitely a keeper." A tall woman in a green outfit, with a British accent, said. "Amelia, let me introduce you to my sweet. My sweet this is Amelia Xena Callahan, and Amelia this is Adeline Adia Davis." Amelia is wearing a green sexy sling V-neck high waist bag hip dress, complemented with a gold necklace and a mint green color stiletto.

Amelia stuck her head around the door and, seeing me at my desk, smiled as she came into the room. I almost said something as I saw how she was dressed. She’d done her makeup dark, with almost a goth princess look despite her delicate features and blonde hair. Her lipstick was a dark blue to match her eyeshadow, and she was wearing a navy bra underneath a black fishnet top that I knew intimately tucked down into a crotch to keep it tight to her body. She was wearing a tight, black leather skirt that ended above her knees, and a chrome and black belt at her waist. Black platform boots with some chrome buckles finished the look.

Amelia stood in front of her bedroom mirror, carefully adjusting the collar of her blouse. She took a deep breath, feeling nervousness and excitement bubbling within her. Tonight was the evening she would be heading to Ethan Sterling's mansion, based on his invitation. Sarah, her ever-supportive friend, had helped Amelia choose an outfit that struck a balance between elegance and comfort. She wore a knee-length navy blue dress that accentuated her figure without being too formal. She paired it with a simple silver necklace and earrings, completing the ensemble with a pair of comfortable yet stylish heels.

She walked over and suddenly leaned against her aunt’s legs. Elsa sat on the bed, watching her lie there, Amelia’s back trembling as though she were crying, which made her anxious. “Amelia, don’t cry. Let’s talk about it properly. We’ll solve it together. Stop crying.” Amelia wiped her tears and stood up. The first thing she did was apologize. “I’m sorry, Aunt.” Aunt Elsa was confused. “What for? Why are you apologizing?” Amelia, choking up, said, “The man who came in just now is Blake Hale, a world-renowned genius doctor who specializes in cancer. I heard from the dean that only he can cure your illness, so I went to find him.”

Amelia’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts and I turned to her with a small smile. She is ten now, and she has grown into a splitting image of Samantha. Her curly hair is braided in two fishtails down her back and she was wearing a yellow sundress with matching pointe shoes- she must have just finished with dance. I stood up from the basement floor and brushed dust off my trousers, “Are you okay?” She nodded, “What are you doing here?” “I was looking at pictures of your mum,” I admitted and an unreadable expression crossed her face, “Do you want to join me?”
