We arrive in the city where Holstin Enterprises, Inc. maintains offices the following morning. My family runs a company that does two things, construction and protection. My father, soon to be my brother Xander, is CEO of the company and hires werewolves from other packs or even lone wolves who need work to do the things that we’re good at and can easily do without raising human suspicion.

He knows what I’m doing, looking him in the eyes is one of the biggest disrespect to an Alpha. “Misha! Nathaniel! Take your positions.” I turn to face my opponents. Misha my new sworn enemy and Nathaniel, the arrogant alpha who keep shoving me into walls for sport. They both smirk like this is going to be fun. I breathe in deeply. I am Aria Evans, daughter of Alpha Roderick of the Fullmoon wolves. Nobody messes with me. I recite it in my head over and over. It sounds foolish, but I hold onto it anyway. The words are all I have. I get into stance recalling everything my father taught me and smile even though my heart is hammering.

“Your father is going to talk about something important, stay here.” Darren sighed, he really wanted to take the girl away from this boring family gathering. But he couldn't help but listen to his father speak first. “We look like family, right Mr. Frank?” He was Adam Jarl, Alpha Pack Kyne, Darren's father. Of course before answering that question, Frank chuckled to break the ice. After all he thought it was a good signal to bring two families together. “Yeah, we're like two families already, Alpha Adam. I feel like we're very compatible in every way.”

His long brown hair in a tousled half updo brushed his shoulders as he moved, a pale scar carved across one amber eye fixed sharply on them. Rey deduced he was the Alpha from the way he carried himself with a quiet air of dominance tucked beneath a wall of indifference. He crossed the room in a few strides, flanked by a man in a decorated uniform that reminded her too much of Iver's. "Alpha Orion," Aleksandr said, his voice deep and edged with intrigue. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" ***

The Warriors are now dressed and back in their cars. Four hours later, we arrive at Moonfall pack. Their pack house is a red-brick Victorian mansion. Behind the mansion is a huge temperate forest filled with redwood trees, and I bet it’s where the werewolves run and train. Alpha Dan, the leader of the Moonfall pack, stands in front of the house, waiting for us. He has black hair but some strands in grey. The welcome feels forced. It’s obvious the Moonfall pack don't want me here, but I understand why they are fearful.

I didn’t know about farm animals and growing crops and could care less. We had a brief visit from the council witch Angel last night. She asked if we needed anything and we said a witch would be pretty damn handy with all the back and forth. So she gave us a warlock named Evan who was studying under her relative. We were going to get him a couple hours a day a few days a week.

“Experiment 12_ Henry Bart- Alpha werewolf- “X” Henry happened to be Harley’s childhood friend, it was even part of the reason she agreed to move here when her dad suggested they had to cause of work. Henry used to stay in Los Angeles but his parents moved here after they lost his sister, they planned a fresh start. Harley thought she could reconnect with her best friend after his grieving but soon teenagers started missing and Henry was one of them. Many still haven’t been found.
