✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Third Person POV As the last preparations were made to ensure Ricky's birthday was a success, Alpha Hunter drove like a maniac toward his old buddy's pack to congratulate him on his birthday. He fixed his tie and took a glance at his rearview mirror to check his hair. Every strand of his jet-black hair was slick back perfectly. The deep scar over his left eye reminded him of the mess he and Akarick got into as kids, making him nod, chuckling as he remembered the little time they had to act mischievous.

I groan internally. My name is Mariah Cruz. I'm 17 years old and starting my junior year today. My Father, Mark Cruz, is the current Beta of our pack, The Royal Moon Pack, and my mother, Jennifer Diaz, is the Beta female. My Brother Josh Cruz is 18 years old and a senior in High School. He is training to become the next Beta when our Alpha, Jason Adams, decides to retire and hand the title to his eldest son, Nick Adams. Nick is 18 and is also a senior in high school. He is also my brother's best friend.

The fire of his anger still burned brightly within him, and it would not be extinguished until he had dealt with the threat that Ace posed. A sleek black car was waiting for him at the curb, and the driver immediately stepped out to open the door for him. Richard slid into the backseat, the leather cool against his skin. The door closed with a quiet thud, sealing him inside the luxurious cocoon. The car pulled away from the hospital, merging seamlessly into the flow of traffic.

The melanin with short pixie hair squealed in excitement. I gave her a wink and she gasped in shock. “Please do well to introduce yourself ladies” I said with a huge smile. “I'm Esther Faux, I'm 20 years old and an upcoming model!" The melanin said quickly. She obviously wanted me to like her. Unfortunately, she didn't interest me much. “My name is Annabelle King and I'm a fan of your model work, very elegant” The other said with a bowed head, she seemed kinda shy and quiet.

I nailed the last board on the window as I spoke. “I don’t know, but I would rather get there as fast as we can. Has the Alpha King responded yet? The sooner we hear from him, the better. I would like to know what he thinks we should do.” Ryker picked up another nail to hammer in the last board he was working on. “Not yet. As soon as I hear something, I will let you know.”

I mumble weakly. He does a mock bow, his smile widening. "Armani Fletcher, at your service, m'lady." He stands back to his full height again before he adds sheepishly. "I was going to give you my name last night, but it seems Alpha Kade was having a night. I'm sorry about that. I know you're new to the pack; he's generally not that...high strung." I chuckle under my breath, a ghost of a smile playing on my lips. "A little high strung...is that what we call it now?" I murmur. "That man has been nothing but high strung since I met him."
