Slowly, she raised her head and looked in the direction of Ashley's outstretched hands. Chole stood at the entrance of the church. She was wearing a white suit, her hair was packed in a messy bun, she had only one arm. She looked like a rag doll. Maris couldn't believe her eyes, chole was standing there. Chole had found her after eight years. No...it can't be possible. Her worst nightmare had snuck out into reality to hunt her forever. Chole reached the aisle in five long strides. She stood very close to Maris. The two of them stared intensely at each other for what seemed like a century with neither of them speaking, before Maris broke the spell.

“So, I had already made a Plan B. If I couldn’t break his focus, maybe I could break his loyal little general manager’s instead.” Her hand slid down his arm as though to showcase him. “Meet Liam,” she declared, smiling as if she’d unveiled some grand prize her daddy gave her as a gift. “My favourite distraction.” Liam straightened a little, proud of the introduction. I laughed, but it wasn’t joy. It was bitter, jagged, the sound of something cracking inside me. I pressed both hands against my face, laughing harder until it dissolved into a choked sob. “Chloe,” I muttered my own name into my palms. “God, Chloe, you absolute idiot. Every....single...f**king...time!”

Ashley glared at Chloe, her fists clenched and her eyes filled with resentment. With a wary expression, I stepped in front of Chloe, afraid that Ashley might hurt her. "After all these years, Chloe, you still haven't given up. You've been waiting for me to dump him so you could swoop in and claim him for yourself," Ashley snarled. "Save it. Don't blame others for shooting their shot when you're the one who never cherished him." The two of them went back and forth, their words harsh. Neither was willing to back down.

She was so excited that she couldn’t work at all. “Well, nothing happened.” Ashley turned as she walked to the bathroom and tried to have her bath. " I just ask a question and I need an answer," Chloe was stubborn and wanted to know everything that happened between them. "Chloe, I said nothing happened can you please let me be. I am tired and need some rest" Ashely poked her head out and slammed the door on her face. Her face remembered the wilting flower from all the chores she had to do for him. No other maid helped her nor touched his stuff.

Chapter 12 "So let me get this shit straight", Chloe started, swallowing the bite of her Risotto, “You found the slimy bitches in bed together, then you and Ian had a fucking heart to heart, then you eloped and got married in Vegas, and you have to stay married for a year?”, Chloe ended, clearing her throat and looking at Ashley like she was crazy. “Yes, that’s exactly it.” Ashley groaned and flopped on the table. Chloe rolled her eyes at her best friend’s dramatics.

She grinned mischievously, "You're really something, Aspen!" Aspen's face turned bright red with embarrassment. Nevertheless, she knew Shiloh's personality all too well. She was someone without memories who spoke bluntly and innocently. Due to this, Aspen could not bring herself to be truly angry with her. Francesca suppressed her laughter. "Shiloh, let's order some food. What looks good to you?" Lauren quickly chimed in, "Yes, yes, let's order! Shiloh, we'll have some drinks with you later!"

*** ASHTON I stepped out of the men's bathroom, the white stain on my black shirt didn't go away but it was manageable. On the corridor that leads to the club downstairs, I saw the blond chick from earlier in the VIP section. At least something would go right for the night. She looked as though she was ready to devour me right here and now. You wouldn't blame her if you looked at me. I strode to where she was. Looking at her alone I saw her forcefully take in some air. Trust me she would need a lot of it to keep up with what I was going to do to her body.
