Blaze and his troops came to a sudden halt as they looked around at the soldiers. Blaze moved his gaze forward and saw Alma tied to a tree with Bruno standing next to her. He directed his gaze to her tummy. Although the baby was not his, he couldn’t stop worrying about it. He clenched his jaw and moved his fierce gaze at Bruno. "Blaze… you came to save me," Alma screamed, her eyes misty. "Please take me home. I promise I will not run away. I will do whatever you say. Just save me. Don’t let these monsters hurt our baby."

Candice totally understands Ella because even she was worried about her son’s situation. “Please! Mikael can protect me,” Ella said again. Candice hugged her and nodded her head. Ella hugged her back and whispered her thanks. “Please tell my Mom to go to the forest when she arrived,” she added. Ella glanced at Mikael and saw him seriously looking at her. “Let’s go,” she said. Blaze and his warriors line up and saw the hunters emerging one by one in bushes. His warriors growled menacingly at them. “Monsters,” a hunter said while Blaze glared at him. The hunter cowered in fear. They were equipped with guns, and Blaze could tell the bullets were made of pure silver that could harm a werewolf.

Spun. The Monster followed, unthinking, crossing the boundary. Both of us are inside. “NOW!” I screamed. From opposite sides, Kael and Thea burst from cover. Hands slammed onto their designated runes. Power flared. All twelve runes ignited at once. Silver-white pillars shot skyward, weaving into bars of pure energy. A cage forty feet high snapped into existence, humming with Moonbane so intense it burned the eyes. The Monster realized too late. It slammed into the barrier.

Molly said and cried on. Det. Brighton had his mind fogged. How on earth was he going to get to the bottom of this peculiar case? He had no idea what they were up against but according to what Molly said it wasn't good. A robot machine monster, what in the heck could that be? Whatever it was he knew that he had his work cut out for him and that he was going to have to pull out all the stops if he really wanted to find out what was going on and keep Molly safe. "Can you take me to your place please?" Molly lifted her head off his chest and asked.

The day that would have marked the beginning of a lifetime for us. Closing my eyes, I heaved a long exhale and propped my head against the headboard. She slowly removed her hands from my body, and I smiled as I realized what she was going to do, and I was right when she put her hands on the air, and she was shouting her heart out. "I love you, Oliver Prize!" Victoria shouted, and I couldn't stop myself from smiling like an idiot. And I could feel my heart swelled with happiness.. I didn't realize our beautiful morning would turn into a nightmare when a werewolf suddenly crossed the road and the next thing I knew, I lost control of my big bike while I was trying my best to save us both, and I heard Victoria's scream before I hit my body on the hard ground.

“You killed both of them. You’re a monster.” Adriano stepped closer, stopping just a few feet away. “Your father destroyed my family first,” he said quietly. “Tonight is justice.” Max shook his head again, furious and trembling. “You don’t know anything! You don’t understand—” Before he could finish, the front door opened. Nora walked in, exhausted from her shift at the hospital. She dropped her keys on the table and called out, “Mom? Dad? I’m home—” Her words stopped abruptly.

My knees hit the ground, and I gasped. The last embers of fire left my limbs, and the light in my veins fizzled out. The machines closed in like wolves. Dozens. Hundreds. Then they stopped. Their bodies twitched. Glowed. Then began to move again, but not toward me. They turned away—toward each other. Toward the center. Their forms shifted, folded, and twisted. Metal clanged, plates screeched, gears roared to life. It was like watching a swarm of insects become a monster. War machines fused and expanded, crawling up one another, snapping and locking into place, climbing themselves to form something colossal.
