Also, I ran into Kennedy.” Liv’s eyes widened, surprise etched on her face. “Kennedy Walters from high school? He's in New York?”

The woman Hayden Linford had rejected in front of the world. A voice she knew too well broke her spiraling thoughts. “So… this is how it ends .” Her head snapped toward the opposite corner. Kennedy sat slouched on the opposite bench, his wrists cuffed, his face bruised from the earlier chase. Even in his state, his eyes gleamed with something dark, part pity and, part mockery. Hayden made sure they were placed opposite each other and he also provided the avenue for Kennedy to watch the proposal too. His goal was for them to tear each other apart, Kennedy exposing himself.

SKY POV As promised, Ken did take Kim offshore in the middle of the night and returned all by himself. We didn’t get to witness the grand exit of queen bitch herself because we had long retrieved into our bedrooms. As much as we all wanted to see it happen, Kennedy wished that they left silently without much of an audience. He has suffered so much so that was the least we could do for him.

It is like Christmas to us. From Ken conversation to Daphne, he said he doesn't celebrate it in their town, which got me wondering. He suddenly appeared for the first time, and he became close to Daphne. This doesn't make sense. A new message came in. I tapped on it. "There are some guest names who were invited but taken off the list. Kennedy Carter might be part of those invited guests. His uncle lives in Louisville and he is on a visit. I don't know why the guest list was tampered with or the aim, because it doesn't look like something we should be bothered about. I will look for the real guest list and send it to you."

☆☆SUMMER'S POV☆☆ We spent time at the Kennedy’s home with other classmates and friends. Merissa had drinks, music, and games laid out, swearing Maxine wouldn’t want her funeral to be “a drag.” She said Maxine would want it to rock, not suck.

I said as I tried not to sound tense. “Alright be fast okay.” Hannah said. “Sure.” I replied. Sarah was looking at me without saying much. I hurriedly entered my room, put on a black joggers and a black hoodie, tied my hair up and then I headed out. I stood in front of my apartment as I looked around to see if I could catch sight of anyone but the genre was no one. I slowly walked to the back of my apartment as I saw a figure standing there in a white sleeve that was rolled up and a black trouser. I moved closer as his face now became visible. It was him, it was Kennedy.
