I hissed angrily, advancing in his direction, hating that he kept me hanging when I thought I would get all the answers tonight.
“I already did,” he said, controlling his voice. “This will be the last night we’ll see each other, Brielle.”
“What?” I murmured, confused at him. I blinked at him, thinking about what I had done wrong. “Why?”
It was stupid of me to ask, but I had to know.
“I can’t fall in love with an enemy,” he said, staring at me intently. “Let’s just say we belong to different Orders which weren’t exactly in order.”
