She stood covered in blood, her anger burned, uncaring that she'd killed so many. "Mother, you've had your vengeance, you must not curse the ones who remain for a hundred thousand years." A crack of lightning, followed by a boom of thunder, lit up the skies. "After what Drakon did to your sister, you still have sympathy for their kind?"

Uriel nodded, giving her mother a hug. “Thank you, Mom. I know this is hard for you, but I’m old enough now. I can take care of myself.” Uriel’s enormous eyes blinked happily. Hera’s arms hugged her tighter, kissing the top of her head. “I know, dear,” she sniffed, petting back her hair softly. “Protect her, please,” Hera’s eyes landed on me and on my father. “I’m begging.” Gods don’t beg, and Hera, once the second in command under Zeus, was now begging for us to protect her only daughter. Not just a daughter, but the fate of humanity.

Her eyes were swollen, bloodshot, they were locked on me with such fury it nearly knocked me flat. Before I could speak, before I could plead, her hand cracked across my face. The slap echoed in the sterile air. My head jerked to the side, my skin burning. “You killed her,” she spat, her voice trembling with rage and despair. “You killed Elizabeth just to cover your stupid act.” My mouth fell open, words choking at the back of my throat. “What? No… no, Alina, I—” But she had already turned away, her body folding back into Dante’s arms as if I no longer existed.

"Eirene, that is not how we greet our family!" she scolded gently but firmly, placing a hand on her daughter's shoulder to gently pull her away from Hermes. "You can't just go around biting people, even if they are being annoying." Hermes was already checking the damage to his shoulder, grimacing dramatically. "Annoying? Darling, I'm offended! This is going to leave a mark for weeks."

Hera was speaking to two other women I could recognize. Cordelia, the goddess of water and Nyx, the goddess of the night. The three women were sitting under the tree of discord. "There's something I discovered today" Hera began and the other two women raised their brows. "What is it? Did you perhaps find out who the new guard really is?" Nyx asked. "Of course, I did. I discovered that his mother had given him a different name apart from the one given to him by the Fates" Hera said and my frown deepened. I had no clue about what s

the goddess spoke passing through Hilda like a wind. "I think I'm dead. What? Am I dead? Could this be an underworld?" Hilda's thoughts became wild. As she couldn't figure out what was going on. "I am the greatest werewolf goddess, goddess of the seven seas and seven mountains. Seer of what is and what is to become. Greatest if the werewolf goddess that has and will ever exist. You are standing before the goddess of fire, water, air, and of the earth. And all you think I can hear." the goddess replied calmly.

I look back down as I lick my teeth with another growl as I get off the bitch and point at her. “You’re dead.” I snarl at her. “Nina, what did you do?” Asteria still has hold of me as she turns to face the siren. “Nothing, she attacked me.” she whimpers and I laugh and so does my dad. “Do you have any idea who she or he is?” Asteria points to me and my dad and the siren shakes her head. “She is Gaia, the Goddess of Hell and Harbinger of Death. He is Fenrir, her father. So I will ask you again. What. Did. You. Do?”
