Charlie complains.
“Too bad because we wouldn’t be taking any orders from him,” I blurt out.
Charlie gasps as she glares at me, a knowing look playing across her features.
“No way, Lettie. We’ve just been punished, you can’t cross Matteo again,” she tells me being the reasoning voice.
“You know you are the ones with crazy ideas Charlie. So, tell me of a way we can cross the guards without it looking suspicious that we are up to something?” I wondered out loud, daring her to fill the blank.
