"Mm… Slow down, honey... You'll wake Julie..." Chasing a thrill, my best friend, Natalie Turner, and her husband, Scott Turner, were actually making love right in front of me. Their hushed, breathy sounds filled the room, intimate and unmistakable. My face burned the entire time, heat rushing straight to my ears. I barely dared to breathe as I froze in place, waiting until Natalie finally drifted into unconscious sleep. And then, the very next second, Scott climbed onto me.

I'm a killer who accidentally sleeps with a mafia boss twice. The first time, I walk away without saying anything, leaving behind nothing but a note and a bank card. "Fantastic night. Thanks." The second time, he lands himself at the top of the killer hit list and has a sky-high bounty placed on him. After succeeding in forming a link with Terrence, I overheard his conversation with his mentor. "Terrence, how could you contact the villains and have them kidnap Quinn? Isn't she your true love?" Terrence's voice was awfully icy and resolute. "The female supporting lead, Yvonne Lynn, was supposed to be the one enduring the torment. I had no choice but to let Quinn shoulder this burden in order to save Yvonne's life. "Besides, Quinn is this world's female lead. She has the blessings of the Narrative, so there's no way any harm will come to her. "Once I'm done with this mission, I will be able to stay in this world forever. When the time comes, I'll make sure to make amends to Quinn properly." I was completely heartbroken at that moment. When I saw the villains approaching me once again, I completely gave up on fighting back.

I’ve always been someone with a strong, restless libido I can’t quite explain. I’ve never gone to a doctor about it, but I know myself well enough to realize it’s something that comes and goes in waves, especially when I'm ovulating. During that time of the month, I'd need to do it two to three times a day or my body would feel extremely uncomfortable. When I opened my eyes again, I found myself back on the day I had won the lottery.  Recalling the pain and betrayal of my past life, I resolved to leave my parents that very day.  But to my surprise, when I returned home, they had completely changed.  They doted on me and showered me with affection.

When I woke up that morning and happened to glance at the mirror, a scream tore from my throat before I could stop it. Because on the face I had always taken such pride in, there was now a jagged, horrifying scar. As terror gripped me, a cool, detached female voice cut through the air beside me. "What are you shrieking about so early in the morning? Scared by your own ugly face?" I looked up in shock and realized the voice belonged to my girlfriend, Alicia. Only—she wasn't the same girl from yesterday. Gone was the youthful innocence I remembered. In its place, every movement, every glance radiated the allure of a mature woman. The words slipped out before I could hold them back. "Babe… you're gorgeous…" But Alicia's brows knit together, her gaze colder than ice. "Kurt, drop the act!" Act? I was at a loss. Why would she accuse me of pretending? "Don't call me the way you used to five years ago. It's disgusting." Five years ago? But… I'm still twenty-three… am I not?
