Cassie asked, sitting down while Anna crossed her legs, showing her thighs outside. Just then Asher entered inside, looking sweaty from running outside. The armless top he wore showed out his broad shoulders. His black hair was tossed to the side as he walked inside. “Asher, how are you doing? It's so nice to see you.” Cassie said with a wide grin on her face. Anna was gawking at Asher, behaving so shamelessly. Asher did not even give her a single glance, and he felt like they were talking to the air.

“Never is such a dangerous word, Aria. You’ll see.” The next day, the pack gathered in the training yard. The air was thick with anticipation, warriors sparring under the Alpha’s watchful gaze, while elders whispered at the edges like crows waiting for scraps. I tried to slip through unseen, but Damien was waiting. Cassian replied him and then moved his eyes to look at Maximus who stared at Julianne like he wanted something from her. “Who is she?” Maximus asked and Julianne looked at him. Not they? She thought and looked behind her to be sure if Marianne was still with her. She moved her eyes back to Cassian and heard him say; “Ash. She’s a newbie.” “It’s Julianne,” she made herself clear and got a grin from Cassian. “Or could be Jules,” the other one said. Funny! Julianne rolled her eyes at the back of her mind. Marianne tugged at Julianne’s cloth again and Julianne asked Cassian, “Where is it?”

As it stepped closer, Ashley recognized her sister, Karen. “Karen!” Ashley called out, relief washing over her. “Please, call for help!” she cried, a desperate plea in her voice. “It's Adam… I don't know why, but he's trying to…” Karen’s chilling laugh cut Ashley off. “You don't get it, do you?” Karen was standing beside Adam now. Leaning forward, they locked lips in front of Ashley's horrified eyes. Ashley's grip on the rail tightened until she felt her hands go numb. Was this some kind of twisted nightmare?
