Every other couple the camera had panned to leaned in for a kiss on instinct, but they didn't. After the song, the singer asked them, "Am I not romantic enough? How come you two didn't kiss?" Dexter answered easily. "We're not a couple, just close colleagues. We're actually here with these two as well. "So don't get the wrong idea. I do have a girlfriend. She just couldn't make it tonight because of work." One of his coworkers muttered under his breath. "Your girlfriend throws a fit every other day. Honestly, you'd be better off just getting with Brianna."

Around them, laughter and whispers of happiness continued, but nothing could touch the intimacy of that moment. May and Damien pulled back slightly, foreheads still touching, eyes glimmering. The world felt infinite, full, complete. And there, in the heart of the estate, surrounded by the people who had shaped them and loved them, May and Damien knew that this was their forever—their home, their family, their unbreakable bond. It has been the reason that you’ve all had to wait so long for an update—and I apologize for that—but after talking over our differences, I now feel like I am back in a relationship that was never meant to end. So there it is, and even after all of the unbelievably terrible dates I’ve recounted, I dare say this may just be the most unbelievable story of all. But oh well, what are you going to do? There’s not much left to do besides be thankful for the way things concluded, and also conclude a few things for myself.

Akame left the area shortly after making her decision. . . . We have reached the end of volume 3. Sorry if the ending was so sudden. I’m a bit rushing the storyline to make up for the lack of updates. I may re-edit some chapters in the future to improve some details and close some gaps in the story.
