Beep, beep, beep... Riley hit the snooze button on her phone. Five minutes later, the same annoying alarm sounded, and this time, she didn't ignore it. It was 6 A.M. and she knew she needed to shower and get ready for her breakfast date with Ethan. As she got out of bed and headed towards the bathroom, she heard her phone vibrate, so she ran over and grabbed it to see, "Good morning, beautiful. Meet me at the diner in town for 8?". She beamed and replied with a "heart emoji, see you then," text right back. She placed her phone back down and grabbed her towel, heading for the shower.

“We are loosing,” I walked away as well to clear my head. I traced his scent to his study, looking through the books like there wasn't something catastrophic going on. “How can you read right now?” I asked, distracting him from the book. “There are over a hundred people out there, waiting to see you fall and you are in here reading books?” “Not just reading…” he turned the book to me. “... researching. This is the ruby we found, a priceless piece because it's not from our world,”

“Yes, please!” Ruby glanced at me, looking partly guilty, partly ashamed, partly defiant, and went to a small jar she kept next to her dinged-up TV. She pulled out a handful of marbles and then disappeared into the bathroom. Judging by the flush of the toilet, she was sending the marbles into the sewer system. The sewer spirit, Vayna, sang out in joy and dove back down the kitchen sink. There was a moment of silence and waiting before Ruby came back to the room. She folded her arms tightly over her chest and lifted her chin.

Her eyes caught mine in the mirror before she turned a weird smile on her face "hi I'm Ruby" "Amelia" I replied. "you look so cute!" she mocked "you too Riley... real cute!" Riley just rolled her eyes before slipping into her powder blue gown. We watched as Ruby applied a thick layer of makeup, before inserting giant diamond chandeliers into her ears. She stood, quickly stripping infront of everyone. She grabbed the a bright red gown so tight it barely fit onto herself before looking in the mirror. She smiled victorious as she turned to us "let's go meet my prince"

I endured the pain in my shoulder and whispered, "What's your name?" "Ruby!" " said the girl, as she bent her head and rummaged through Galen's armour for something. Suddenly she lifted up a golden object and looked at the sunlight, and the golden object burst into a dazzling yellow glow. "Gold!" Ruby said excitedly, "You can buy food!" " I looked closely at the gold coin in Ruby's hand, and saw that the design on it seemed to have been seen somewhere. So I asked Ruby curiously, "What is the pattern on the gold coin, can I see it?" "

Ruby thought Ruby was already tired and bored of waiting, so she decided to chat with Naomi while she passed the time “Hey girl what are you up to?” She texted “Nothing much just trying to pick an outfit for a client” Naomi replied “Why are you texting? Has the interview ended? I’m thinking of using some of them for the engagement party and wedding. Can you help me pick a few?” Renee glanced at Ruby’s phone.
