Chapter 2: Reconciliation "It's pouring outside." Gina said while watching the rain and shivered at the cold, despite the heat coming from the chimney. She glanced at the unaffected wolf and snorted. "It must be nice having a thick coat of fur, huh?" Sam purred, wanting to invite her for a cuddle, but of course, Gina wasn't able to get the message and wrapped herself with a thick blanket, proceeding to type away to finish her novel. She only has a week left to finish her deadline before her editor kills her for real.

I said. "I am Xantrophicanflas Mi Yornis, but I am called `Xana.'" "I'm George Schatz, but everyone calls me `Geo.' You have an unusual name. You're not from around here, are you?" "My home is Vlexa. I believe that our sun is the third one over," she said, pointing towards Orion's Belt. "I am here to learn why your world has two forms of people, one shaped like us and the other shaped like you."

The air in the library was thick with the scent of old books and the faint hum of fluorescent lights. Sadile Marconi, her fiery red hair cascading over her shoulders like a river of flames, sat at a secluded table, her green eyes darting between the pages of her textbook and the clock on the wall. The numbers seemed to mock her, ticking away the minutes until her next class, a class she was dangerously close to failing.

She was looking over my shoulder at the same wall and reading some of them softly under her breath. “Hmmm, look at this one,” I said. “This person seems to have described our date last week in perfect detail.” It was a story about a woman who liked to be spanked and punished. “I like this one,” Carrie said, pointing to another. “I really think we should try and work this one into our next date.” The story was about a couple who arranged to act like strangers and meet up at a trashy bar and pick each other up. There were long descriptions about them fucking in the back of the bar as the guys playing pool watched and stroked their cues.
