How To Sing - Feisty Series (3 of 5)

How To Sing - Feisty Series (3 of 5)

Pearl smiled and her fingers began to fly. “Thunderstruck.” The crowd went ape shit and started singing their part. This song was hard to play, that opening bit is what they call a fretting hand. I’ve played it, with a shit ton of practice. Yet again, Pearl made it look easy. You have to be sure of yourself to even try this song, and clearly she didn’t have confidence issues here. The lead singer’s voice was horrible, he was basically shouting. I tuned him out with all I could as I focused on her. All my brothers were yelling different things, I didn’t hear them either.

PUCK ME, GENTLY

PUCK ME, GENTLY

“That girl was a solution! You need to stop sabotaging this!” “The only solution I need is one that doesn’t make me want to claw my own eyes out. Next.” The last girl scurries out like she’d rather be anywhere but listening to our back-and-forths. For an agonizing long second, it’s just the two of us and the hum of Lewis Capaldi crooning “Someone You Loved” from the corner speaker. The irony isn’t lost on me.

"Any song in particular you'd like to sing?" Avery scanned the list, her excitement growing. "How about something upbeat to start? Maybe a classic like 'Dancing Queen' by ABBA?" "Great choice!" Romeo said, selecting the song and handing the microphone to Avery. "I'll sing backup for you." Avery took a deep breath and stood up, feeling a mix of exhilaration and nerves. As the music started, she glanced at Romeo, who gave her an encouraging nod. The opening chords of "Dancing Queen" filled the room, and Avery felt a surge of energy.

She said making all of our jaws drop to the ground. "Looser? Like seriously?" Rohit asked baffled. "So come up here, Riddhi Bhabhi, what are you waiting for?" Her song started with Jennifer Lopez's Ain't Your Mama while Rohit's mouth was hung low. With every passing line, his expression was changing. **** **SONG SEQUENCE STARTS** **** [I ain't gon' be cooking all day, I ain't your mama I ain't gon' do your laundry, I ain't your mama

Sing Through the Pain

The photographer gave us a cue, smiling behind the camera. "Ready? Three, two, one!" "Cheese!" The camera clicked, and the image froze in time—just Valerie and I, smiling at each other, full of happiness. Life had struck me hard, but I chose to sing through the pain.

replied Freddie. Easy grabbed his nearly empty glass, held it up to Fat Freddie, and said, “I’m covered.” The trumpeter shrugged his shoulders, turned, and pushed through the crowd toward the exit. Easy soon lost him in the haze-filled room. Applause rippled through the crowd as Blue Sue took to the piano. The crowd went wild as she plunked out the first chords of “Just One of Those Things.” She held Easy’s eyes as she throatily and slowly crooned:

On My Ex's Brother's Bed

Ruby's POV Sally stood still for a moment after the neighbor’s song ended. The room buzzed with scattered applause and half-drunken cheers. Her fiancé’s eyes were still glued to the woman onstage. Then Sally walked forward. “Play it again,” she said to the guitarist. The man hesitated, but something in her tone made him obey. The first few notes rang out. Sally closed her eyes and began to sing. Same melody. Same lyrics. But this time, every word trembled with emotion, grief, anger, and longing. Her voice wasn’t perfect, but it was real. It felt like she was tearing her heart open right there under the lights.

Captive Under the Moon: Harmony Moon Saga

Captive Under the Moon: Harmony Moon Saga

The leader of the gang’s name was cash, and he was humbled long ago when they were all sentenced to live out the rest of their days in hell. They reminded me of a traditional motorcycle club with Cash being considered their “president”. His name is Cash probably because he literally has a voice that sounds just like Johnny Cash. In fact, he sings all day long as they hammer away at the hardened lava rock. The clink of their pickaxes and the beating of drums played by some Jogah made for an interesting show. Cash and his gang most always had an audience that came to listen to him sing. Right now, he sang “Folsom Prison Blues” by none other than… you guessed it, Johnny Cash himself.

The Howling Voice of a Mute Beauty

"Well then, I guess I'm gonna sing something for you. I swear you don't have the right to leave me after you hear my voice, no matter how awful it is." He then started to strum his guitar. A familiar melody suddenly went out of that wood, and although I had been used to that ever since I started working as a performer, to see a man this masculine and a person whom I met as a stern and arrogant one, it was fascinating. My eyes widened. My heart started to pound hard and fast as I saw him standing in front of me. "A hundred and five is the number that comes to my head..." he started to sing the first lyrics of an old yet famous song right now. It was Marry Me, by Jason Derulo.

" Chapter 1 RPOV Song: Past Lives by BORNS, That Sea The Gambler by Gregory Alan Isakov A storm was bubbling in the sunset, a mix of charcoals, pinks, and golds. The heavy rain tended to make others restless, but not me. It was a sign of new beginnings, the sins of yesterday washed away leaving a new path yet to be conquered. As I sat on my perch at the edge of the woods, I wondered what new adventures waited on the other side of that storm.
