The man with a mask over his face. *

Giovanni handed me a mask, identical to the one he wore. "Ready to become invisible?" he asked, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Always," I replied, slipping the mask over my face. It was designed to obscure our features, leaving only our eyes visible. We moved in sync, checking each other's equipment one last time. Giovanni adjusted the strap on my holster, his fingers brushing against my skin, sending a jolt of electricity through me. I looked up, meeting his gaze. For a moment, we were just Giovanni and Gabriella, the past forgotten.

He’s still wearing the same burgundy shirt from earlier, as well as the same full-faced mask that only exposes his eyes. The mask is a metal with carved intricate designs. It’s meant to draw attention to it, but what I’m mostly drawn to the stranger’s eyes. Despite the dimness of the garage, I can see them. They are the brightest green I’d ever set my eyes on, and are unlike his strands that are intimidated by the shadows, now seeming to black even though they were brown when I saw the man earlier. My first unwavering thought is to look at the man’s hands. They are dipped in his pockets.

The muscle man asks in a hostile tone. The man in a golden-grey robe just smiled and didn’t say anything. On his face, there’s a half-face mask that covers the upper half of his face. “I hate people wearing masks! Stop wearing it in front of me!” Gerel said in disdain. A youth takes off his mask and smiles at Gerel mysteriously. “Greed and selfishness? I think it’s a little bit overboard, I didn’t do this for fun you know.” Said Duke Tian Dong to a man in front of him.

I purred, my voice laced in sarcasm as I pouted my lips. “Aww... Poor, lonely Enzo.” He scowled, his deep voice cutting through the air. “Wear your damn mask.” I rolled my eyes and held my mask. It had a peacock design, with feathers affixed to the sides. Golden detailing lined the edges, giving it a delicate yet exotic look. I put it on, and it shielded my features, except for my eyes and lips. I turned to look at him. His mask was the design of a wolf, its expression a scowl just like the one he carried permanently on his face. The only covered parts of his face were his forehead and eyelids. His eyes, nose, and mouth were exposed.

The man put on his shirt and slowly turned around, surprisingly wearing a black mask on his face. The mask covered half of his face, revealing thin lips and a pair of deep eyes, the ink-black pupils were as cold as the night, emitting a mysterious light. The right side of the mask had a hollowed out golden fire-shaped symbol at the forehead position, domineering and wild. Jenna could not help but take half a step back, a rent boy, how could he have such a powerful aura, did she recognize the wrong person? No, that tattoo, there would never be a mistake.

The sheet nodded solemnly. I dropped a handful of candy. “Solid choice. Classic.” Ten minutes later: knock knock. Same height. I laughed so hard I almost dropped the bowl. “Nice try, ghost-Spider.” Another handful of candy. Ten minutes after that: knock knock. This time the sheet was inside out and the eye holes were in the wrong place.

The next morning, Gwen woke up at the crack of dawn. She called Luna on the phone while she was washing up, and told Luna about her request. "No problem!" Luna was smiling as she said this. "You say that that bodyguard of yours needs a mask, huh? Well, what kind is he looking for? One that's made to imitate human skin? I don't think that's a good idea. It'll come off easily if someone were to punch him, and I think a better option will be something made of metal, like those masks you wear to a costume party. We can easily make it look more lifelike!

I tugged my corset with my hands. "Well look who decided to show up." Maria smirked. "The man across us, you see him?" There was a man cladded in a black tux, using a gold mask to hide his identity. All that can be seen are his bold green eyes, he had a boy about my age next to him with a similar mask to his, with the build he had plus the dark hair and the same green eyes as the man next to him. It was obvious that he was his son.
