Zelena. Grief is difficult. It's a hard feeling to navigate. With the addition of my bouts of guilt and regret, I wasn’t sure I was ever going to find my way through it. If I’m honest, I’m still working my way through it. Every new day is different from the last. It's strange really. One day I will be fine, filled with happiness and joy, enjoying my family and my life. The next, something as simple as hearing the term ‘Little One’ will set me off on hours of crying and wishing for things to be different. Grief is weird. It's true when people say that you never actually get over the pain, you just learn to live with it. Not being alone with my pain is a huge help. Gunner and I are both workin

I’m glad this book looks like it’s finally finished. I’ve been looking forward to reading it as I have enjoyed the other two. Just wondering if you are going to bring out the audio version too? I prefer to use this option. Please please please

Diti Koshyfuture last breathuntil my last breath moviethe last breath bookone last breath novel
"Grief does strange things to people." "Grief?" I shake my head, a fresh wave of pain washing over me. "You want to talk about grief? You want to know what grief is? Grief is realizing you wasted five years of your life pushing away the one person who truly loved you. Grief is knowing you'll never get a chance to tell her you're sorry. Grief is standing here, listening to your own mother celebrate the death of her daughter-in-law and granddaughter." Her face pales. "I'm not celebrating anything. I'm just... being realistic."

I discovered very quickly that grief was boring. People always talked about the dramatic parts. The crying. The heartbreak. The sleepless nights. Nobody talked about the hours in between. The endless, suffocating hours where nothing happened and yet everything hurt. For the past two days, that was all my life had been. Wake up. Miss Kai. Try to eat. Fail. Miss Kai. Check the time. Miss Kai. Try not to think about the hearing. Fail. Miss Kai.

Her voice continued, steady but heavy. She sipped her tea slowly, then placed the glass gently down on the stool beside the couch where she sat. Her eyes met mine. “Daughter, tonight I will tell you a story. How everything started.” “October 12, 1996 was the day I lost your father to the cold hands of death…” She spoke for over an hour. Her voice sometimes shook, but she never stopped. She recounted how grief had slowly consumed her. She was overwhelmed—by loneliness, by the pressure of work, and by the silence in the house that once echoed with my father's laughter.

Maybe I am. Eliza's hand stills against my cheek. "No," she says firmly. "You are not dying, Rhea. You are grieving. There is a difference." She reaches for the tray and lifts it onto her lap. She then pours tea into a white china cup and pushes it into my hand. "Grieving feels like dying," I say, looking at the amber liquid in the cup. "Yes," she agrees. "But the difference is that grief passes. Eventually." I do not believe her. This hollow feeling in my chest seems permanent; it feels like a void that will never be filled. I lost my baby. I lost my husband. I lost my pack, my position, my sense of self. What is there to live for?

“You won’t admit it, Lou, but your behavior about Iris isn’t normal. I always think on this day… you might do something reckless.” “My behavior is called grief, asshole. I have every right to feel however the fuck I want about my sister’s death!” “It’s been three years, and it only gets worse.” “Oh, so grief has an expiration date now?” “You know what I mean.” “No, I don’t. Because that’s what happens when you lose someone you love. You suffer. For life. Maybe some people handle it better than others, but this is how I handle it. And I don’t need a guy who fucked with my head telling me what I’m allowed to feel.”

Beautifully Ruined

XANDER POV I have experienced loss before. I have seen what it does to someone, to the heart, and to the soul. I have seen people losing themselves inside the deep abyss of grief and pain, wondering if they will ever get back to their old selves without the missing piece of their lives. I have seen how grief tears them to shreds and leaves their souls to bleed. But in a history of grief, I have never seen pain so raw and cruel.

CHAPTER 88 STAY ISLA There's something about grief—especially the grief that comes with losing a loved one— that you can never understand unless you experience it. Everyday it just caves your chest deeper and deeper and even when time passes and you've won at staying afloat, one day, it just hits you again and everything caves. I'm a living witness and I hate that my best friend was now living the same nightmare. Talia didn’t say much as she turned away from the door. I followed her quietly, pulling my suitcase behind me, wheels humming softly against the polished floor.

I murmured, my voice choked with emotion. Together, we sat in the quiet room, embracing the shared sorrow that hung in the air. The loss of Sena, a mother to my son, cast a profound shadow over his life. In the silence, broken only by the soft sounds of sniffles, we found solace in each other's presence, a fragile thread of strength woven through the fabric of grief.
