Elara moved to the small window. The dark, bubbly chaos of the surface had faded into a thick, ink-black void. But below them, a light was growing. It wasn't the soft, biological glow of deep-sea fish. it was a cold, industrial blue.
As the Pirs Module drifted downward, a massive shape materialized out of the darkness. It was a sprawling complex of interconnected domes and reinforced struts, anchored to the side of a massive underwater mountain—the Nemo Plateau. It looked like a city from a nightmare, clinging to the edge of the world.
