I say. "The paperwork I filed was a favor from a retired contact. If it faces a real legal check, it won't just fail—it creates a huge legal problem for you. Putting fake fatherhood papers into the alliance registry is a major crime." He pauses. "If this goes through official channels and they find the forgery through an investigation instead of you admitting it, you lose control of the story. It becomes fraud. And Tate's legal team would have the perfect excuse to use it." I sit with that for a moment, It isn't just the usual fear of being found out. It is the legal reality of it. Fraud, fake paperwork. A retired contact who cannot help us, whose name is on a document that will easily fail

"You didn't need to be at the well to kill him. You could have sent a construct. A shadow proxy. A cursed artifact planted days ago." "I could have done all that." I set the glass down, the crystal ringing against the wood. "But 'could have' is not evidence, Alpha. It is imagination. And in a court of law, even the Academy's kangaroo version, imagination is not sufficient for conviction." He flinched.

I end the call and stare at my screen again, jaw tight. Because this isn’t just about money. This is about my wife. My actual child. My family. The thought that someone would weaponize a fake child, or even a real child that isn’t mine, just to get access to money makes my stomach turn. I open a legal pad and start writing: Possible causes of action: Fraud. Intentional misrepresentation. Extortion, depending on communications. Harassment. I tap the pen against the paper. If she pushed this knowing it was false, she didn’t just lie, she exposed herself to criminal liability.

"Pack law doesn't account for intent when it comes to constructs. It accounts for what something was made to be." "You were a child," I replied. "You had no choice in any of it." "That is not how the law reads it," she said. "If my existence as a reservoir is documented in the estate record and the tribunal surfaces it formally—" She paused. "There is an old category. Unlawful construct. It strips legal personhood entirely. No rights. No territory. No standing within any pack structure." I went completely still.

Leila said. "Potentially." "Which is already reasonable." "I know." "Which already accounts for—" She stopped. "Leila," Miriam said. She looked at her. "The bond is not a legal instrument," Miriam said. "You're right. In family court. In pack court, it is. That's the jurisdictional question. And I need you to understand — not worry, understand — that if opposing counsel chooses to invoke pack court, the map changes." Leila looked at the table.

become legally and morally invalid? I plunged headfirst into the murky depths of emerging precedents, hunting for a foothold in a legal landscape that was shifting beneath our feet. I started with the bedrock of traditional tort law, opening the Restatement (Third) of Torts: Liability for Physical and Emotional Harm. My cursor hovered over Section 46—the intentional infliction of emotional distress through extreme and outrageous conduct. Under twentieth-century standards, this required a high threshold of overt psychological manipulation. But how did that apply when the manipulation wasn't enacted by a malicious individual, but by an invisible, omnipresent digital architecture?

she replies, shrugging with indifference. "Actually, Annabelle, there is. Criminal impersonation isn't a constitutional right; it's a prosecutable offense," Jordan states firmly. "Under Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 1028, the use of a fraudulent identity or a prosthetic likeness to commit a felony—in this case, attempted homicide and conspiracy—is a major violation. You didn't just 'test a look'; you utilized a deceptive identity to facilitate a crime. That's a statutory violation." "It wasn't!" she seethes, slamming her hand against the table.

“Lucas… be honest with me. Does this look good for me?” He exhaled slowly, every word measured. “From a legal point of view, operating under false credentials typically constitutes fraud. Once uncovered, it can prompt regulatory intervention, criminal charges, and civil liabilities. In corporate terms, it becomes an existential compliance breach.” He held my eyes. “The board would react to this.” A cold rush swept through me, like stepping into freezing water. “So, what do we do?” I whispered. Panic crept at the edges of my voice. “Don’t worry. I will handle it.” He knelt beside me, placing a steady hand over mine. “This is my battlefield. Let me do what I do best.”

Daddy's Demands

JL Beckyou barely even dance with memy blood-curdling campus lifetasting my hockey roommatesweet like candy in my veins
You’re a very good writer, and I’m impressed with the narrative structure of your work, as well as the flow of dialogue and vivid description. There’s only one problem. Did you take this from real life, or is this place a work of fiction? If it is real, you need to identify it. There are rules and regulations governing mention of real people, places, and things, and works of fiction depicting real life places without due credit could result in serious legal repercussions. This is total bullshit. There really aren’t laws prohibiting her from describing a place that actually does exist, but the white lie is quite convenient for vetting out the truth.
