I was about to tell Liam to cover his ears when another man's hand landed on my shoulder. "There you are, honey." I turned to the sound of the voice, and my mouth opened. Standing next to me and smiling was Cameron, Alex's half-brother. "I'm so sorry I'm late," he said, and I blinked, beginning to question his sanity and starting to wonder if he hadn't mistaken me for the girl he was supposed to meet here. "Cameron," I muttered hesitantly and noticed Nick stumble back and gasp. "I missed you, Sarah," the younger Ravenford brother purred. Before I could think about what was happening, he cupped my cheeks, drew his lips close to mine, and… kissed me.

Checking the caller ID, she noticed that it was her uncle, and without hesitating, she picked it up. "Hello dear, Have you seen the news?" Richard asked her. "Yes, Dad, I have seen it, but who the hell is the man, and why did he try to use Charles to steal my properties?" Sarah asked him with a confused tone. "I know this might sound crazy, dear, but he's your uncle," Richard said to her through the phone. "What!" You mean he's your brother?" Sarah asked him with a confused tone. "Exactly, my dear, he's my brother. I didn't even know that he was still in this New York City; he disappeared with his son soon after losing his wife," Richard said to her.

"Did you see how hot that was?" Sarah exclaims with hands clasped together and dreamy eyes. "See what?" My brother asks when he sees that I am not in the mood to entertain whatever nonsense she's about to say. I'm always in a bad mood when we reach this place, for obvious reasons. Only my brother and I know about what truly happened to our parents. Sarah is still in the dark and we plan to keep it that way. "Xavier." She says and sighs deeply. I almost groan out loud but instead turn to look out the window again as we prepare for another lecture on how and why Xavier is her mate.

Before I could speak, Sarah rushed toward him and sat beside him, her face lighting up. “He’s my brother’s best friend,” she said cheerfully. “After my brother died, he always came here to check on me, anytime, any day. I’m surprised to see him today. I didn’t even know he returned from his trip yesterday.” I let out a breath I hadn’t realized I was holding. Relief washed over me, but it didn’t last long. Sarah suddenly paused and frowned. “How do you two know each other?” she asked slowly. “And how do you know him by his name? No one knows Alpha Xavier unless he introduces himself.”

"I'm glad you like it." Elysia nodded as she continued eating. Then, between bites, she asked, "So, who are you exactly? My mother just said my brother brought home a wife, but she didn't give me any details." Sarah froze slightly. She hadn’t expected the question. Elysia noticed her hesitation and leaned forward, resting her chin in her palm. "Come on, tell me everything. How did my workaholic brother end up married? Sarah laughed softly. "I’m Sarah."
