There are many ways one can describe Raine. Powerful, confident, sexy... She does well to keep her business life and her night life separate, though she is a lioness in both. She knows what she wants, when she wants it; whether its money or sex. If she can take it, she will. It's the hunt she enjoys, and the hunt may be her downfall when those two worlds start to collide.
Lihat lebih banyakI have it all. The dream job, the nice car and an overly large house. The only responsibilities I have, are to myself. There is no spouse for me to report to, no children to take care of. I am free to do whatever I please. And that’s exactly how I like it.
Most women my age, the age of twenty eight, are scouting around for the perfect man that is going to be there for them emotionally and physically. They are looking for the legendary one to build with and grow old with. I on the other hand, could give zero fucks. I’m not looking for marriage or a white picket fence with kids running around in the front yard. I don’t need a man to take care of me, because I’ve been doing perfectly fine on my own. In my eyes, men are only good for one thing, and that’s the use of the member between their legs. When I want a man, I can go out and get one. They come in all shapes and sizes. When I find something I like, I stop at nothing until I get it. And for a few hours, it belongs to me.
I stared at myself in the mirror, wondering if I look good enough. My long dark hair is pinned back, showing the narrowness of my face. My dark skin is brightened and highlighted with makeup, my lashes long and shadowing over my dark eyes. My lips are accentuated with a deep red lipstick. My skin is flawless, and the way the black fabric of my dress laid against it was enticing. I only knew this because this wasn’t the first time I stepped out in this specific dress. I drew plenty of men in, and they refused to go until this thin fabric hit the floor. I adjusted the slit on the chest, making sure each breast had air to breath. Not enough to show the nipple, but enough to feel the cool night breeze against the skin. I gave a smile, proud of my looks, and as I turned and walked away, I could feel the excitement for the night to come.
The liquid is smooth as it washes across my tongue, sliding down my throat. I love champagne. It’s not the usual drink to request when downtown, especially, at a club like this. But tonight, I am celebrating. It’s my best friend’s birthday, and I pull out all the stops every year. And of course, this year wouldn’t be any different. She dressed in a matching red dress, both of us showing off our long legs and gorgeous curves. We’re hunting tonight. We sat in a darkened corner, watching red and green strobe lights move across the dance floor. The place was crowded, ages ranging from eight-teen to forty five. She likes the older, while I like the company of the younger.
“How about that one?” I asked her, standing up, leaning my body against a large grey pillar. She followed behind me. I titled my head up, indicating that the target was on the second floor. The man leaned against the railing, eyes scanning the dance floor, probably doing the same thing as us. He wore tight jeans, a white button shirt tucked in. The bright lights showed off his blonde hair. He stared down at us, seeing just how much we paid attention to him. He gave a smile, as if calling us over. I looked over my shoulder, eyes on Alisha. She stared back at me, her green eyes looking unimpressed.
“Not my type,” she spoke out.
“You mean not your age,” I thought out loud. He looked to be twenty-five. His face was fresh, meaning he probably wasn’t interested in what we were selling. And if he was, odds were, he wouldn’t be able to handle it.
“He’s your type,” she said, eyes searching. I shrugged. I’d break him. “Him.” I turned to see her eyeing a slightly older man. He sat by himself at a bar, looking as if he were drowning his sorrows in several shots. “Mature. Lonely, possibly shy man…” her voice trailed off.
“And possibly married.”
“Like we care,” she spoke in response. It was true. I’ve had my share of taken men, but her numbers heavily outweighed mine. The man loosened his tie. I guessed he had a long day at work.
“Go get him,” I replied. She smiled.
“I found one for you too.” I could feel butterflies in my chest. Tell me who, I thought. Her eyes darted in the opposite direction. I turned, the front of my body against the coldness of the pillar, as I took him in. He was tall. He had long dark hair. Most of it seemed to be combed to the back, but there were a few long strands hanging in front of his eyes. His head sat firmly on large shoulders. He seemed to be sweating, lost in the music. I stared, feeling the bass of the music beneath my feet. A light seemed to shine upon him, his face glowing. He seemed to be enjoying himself, loving the attention that his friends gave him as he danced the night away. “Do you like?” I took a deep breath, images going through my mind. I did like. I nodded my head.
“Can you get him for me?” I asked. I knew it was her birthday, and that I should be doing things for her, but she found me something that I had to have, and I was going to need help separating him from the crowd. Alisha said nothing, as she walked ahead of me. She would do anything for me, all I had to do was ask. She made her way through the crowd with ease, pretending to be lost in the hype, in the sounds blaring from the speakers. Soon, she was right where she needed to be. She placed her hand upon the man’s hips, catching his attention. He tried to look back at her, his dancing slowing down in confusion. Her green eyes sparkled up at him, as she placed her small chin on his shoulder. She moved with him. He blushed a bit.
“Hello,” she spoke.
"Uh- hi.”
“Someone wants your attention,” she breathed against his neck.
“Who?” She then walked away, leaving him even more confused. But along with that, was the sense of enticement. He stared after her. She made her way to me, pushing her body against mine as she placed her lips against my revealed shoulder, kissing lightly. I still stared at this man. Our eyes met. I swore I saw him gulp. Was it at my beauty, or was he afraid of what I wanted from him? And just like that, he began to stray. With every slow step, he drew closer.
“Thank you,” I said softly.
“Have fun,” she spoke into my ear, before heading towards her goal for the night. The man stood before me, staring down at me.
“I heard you wanted my attention.” His voice was deep, but loud over the music. I gave a slight smile, as I reached out and grabbed his hand. There was a burning in my chest. I burned for this man, and the fire would stay lit until he put it out.
The feeling of a man burying himself inside of you is one of the best feelings in the world. If they know what they’re doing, it’s like an out of body experience. The air is hot, your skin burning, your heart racing… You get lost. You feel your body trembling as you struggle to take it all in, not just the part of the man, but the moment itself. Every part of your being touched, whether it’s a soft caressing or an aggressive grabbing, it all just takes over you. That’s the feeling I’m obsessed with, that I crave. Most people don’t understand it. I don’t expect them to. What goes on in my personal life is no one else’s business.
His name is Daniel. He’s a college student, the age of twenty two and he’s trying to figure out what it is that he wants to do with his life. I forgot what he said he was going to college for. As a matter of fact, I don’t even think I asked. After all, it wasn’t important. To me, the only thing that mattered was his stamina. At such a young age, he did well. An hour. You may think that isn’t long, but I’ve to learn that it’s what you do in that amount of time that makes it count. One, he was a good kisser. Two, he was strong. Three, I liked the way he sounded when he moaned. Four, his dick was a decent size and five; he knew more than four positions. I think my standards may be a little low. Then again, I don’t expect much. Just a good ole fashion lay and then we move on with our lives. You know what the best thing is, he doesn’t know my name. Believe it or not, I think knowing someone’s name can be very personal. It’s how you identify yourself. In my night life, I prefer to be a mystery. It makes things more interesting. Daniel was a nice break. He also understood that I expected him to be gone by 6am. Or maybe he thought he was the one running game on me. Wouldn’t that be funny?
Years ago, I stood at this window, staring down at the world below me. I had chosen a career path, and planned to follow it through until the very end. That path has not changed, but how I get there will. Quality Advertising and Mr. Davis gave me my start, but they were just a step. They were not my end. Looking down at the world now, I take a deep breath and feel an excitement that I haven’t felt in a long time. I hear a knock on the office door. I turn to see Jose standing there with Jordan as his side. “Well, this isn’t a duo I’ve seen before,” I said with a smile. Jose approaches me first. “I wanted to get in my goodbye and tell you the good news before you left,” he said, eyes going around, taking notice in the emptiness. “Good news?” The young man nods. “Well, with you resigning and Jordan moving up, there are some supervisor spots needing to be filled. I am being given one of of those spots.” I grinned. Jose’s work experience wasn’t much, but he was a quick learner.
Tonight. Tonight everything changes. Red is the color I choose to wear to embrace everything that will be coming my way. Something simple, yet classy. Long, and elegant. My beauty will never be hindered. “You look like someone who's getting ready to set a whole building on fire,” Alisha grins, refusing to miss my looks to kill. “And leave no casualties,” I said with a grin. The plan has been drawn up, it has been executed, and we were ready to witness the fallout. I would be arriving at the event solo, but I wouldn’t be leaving alone. Here we go Raine, time to give them all hell. The work week was slow and boring. It was the most interesting thing to talk about besides the ending of upcoming projects and the dinner in which a winner would officially be announced. Saturday night has arrived. I walk through the doubled doors of an upscale restaurant downtown. The dinner experience here was said to be spectacular. Not just when it came to the food or the service, but the fact th
I am sore. Sore all over. But it was worth it. I wake up, my body entangled with theirs in Kale’s bed big enough to house all three of us comfortably. They sleep heavily, allowing me to take in their fresh morning looks. I definitely had a type. The pink lips, the olive skin, the curly and waving dark hair. Both of them are sculpted differently but attractive all the same. I sigh in content. Lately, they had been taking care of me, now it was my turn to do so for them. I am not the type to cook breakfast. It’s not that I can’t, it was just something I didn’t even need to do to myself. I always kept to this fast routine, but today nothing was claiming attention. I would make something as great as Shane’s omelets, but I could handle bacon and eggs. I searched through Kale’s fridge, seeing nothing but leftover take out and frozen dinners. I could just order food from the kitchen, as he does. That was the plus of having a large condo in a shared space. The way the extremely rich live
“Whoa,” Shane reveals a snickering laughter, catching me by the arm just as I tripped in my heels. One hand clings to his arm to help keep my balance, while the other holds onto the loose fabric that also played a part in my almost accident. “I think you had a good time tonight,” he says, readjusting himself against me. I lean my body up against him, ear finding his chest and heart beat. We stood at the doorway of the building, waiting for the Limo to pull up, so we could make our way home.“It wasn’t the worst,” I said softly. I could hear the slurring in my words, and I knew I had passed the line of tipsy. “Where is Kale?” Shane looks back over his shoulder. “He’s making sure everyone is getting home safely.” Of course he is. He’s such a good guy. “I hit the jackpot with that one, didn’t I?” “Don’t go playing favorites Raine,” Shane stares into my eyes. I smile. “You’re not so bad either,” I joke. “I don’t know why either of you want to put up with my shit.” He grins. “Yeah, y
“I would have gone crazy on that snake bitch,” Alisha growled, holding her wine glass up to Shane, allowing him to refill her glass. It’s not like me to have wine this early in the day, but after catching Andre and Alisha up on the drama that had unfolded in the last few weeks, it was needed. I sighed, my legs up to my chest. I rest my arms on top of my knees, staring off into space. “Trust me, I really wanted to,” I murmured. “I’m all for a little thrill in my sex life, but in the printing room, where there were cameras… Scandalous!” She continues. “I know that,” I said back. “And I was under the impression that it would be taken care of,” My eyes went to Kale, who was sitting beside me. “Otherwise it probably wouldn’t have happened.” “Hey, I bought the tape off the guards the next morning, and even had them delete the copies!” He tried to defend himself. “Well, regardless, the act in itself was still careless,” Andre says.“Again, we already know that.” I grind my teeth togethe
RAINE’S POVI’m not sure if Kale’s openness with Karen was a good idea. He may have just added a lot more fuel to the fire, however, I couldn’t hide the fact that I wish I would have seen the look on her face. Kale says she looked stunned. She thought she was going to hurt me by telling of the apparent rumors circulating the office floors. What she didn’t understand was how she now revealed that there was another person helping her in her quest to destroy me. Jordan Cummings. Of course I already had my suspicions, but unless Karen had eyes to see through walls, or binoculars to spy from another balcony, she was not able to see the kiss I shared with Shane. If there truly was a rumor, Jordan was the one to tell what he had seen. And as Karen would put it, it was her duty to pass along the information to Kale. Two against one, this wasn’t a fair fight, but if she was expecting to see me shaking in my heels, she had another thing coming. I already had my moment of weakness.I heard
