Turbulence in the camp.

Xander's POV

I sat down in the office, a little jaded even before I began working. The stack of files in front of me almost made me want to just step out and have a drink. However I had no choice than to complete my work.

The silence in the room helped with my focus, my thoughts didn't wander away since there were no sounds to distract it. Although, most of the time, being a werewolf; an alpha at that, it was quite difficult to concentrate.

My senses would sometimes pick up things that were far away from it just because the wind is with them. However, control was the key factor in a wolf's strength and I have learnt that the hard way multiple times. My innate character does not amount to much control.

I flipped through the second batch of files, signing and balancing what is needed. I exhaled after a while and decided to rest against the back of my chair. It was a difficult job running an entire pack, but I was the fittest to get the job done.
