When Queenie's eyes opened, she was surprised to see a man in black suit sleeping on the small patient chair beside her.
When she looked down at her hand, she found out he entwined it with his. She thought she could slip out of his hand without waking him, but was disappointed when his eyes flew open the very next second.
"You're up." He said sleepily, tightening his grip on her palm again. "How are you feeling?"
Queenie nodded and tried to sit up, but was pushed back onto her seat by Pierce.
"You just woke up. The doctor said it's advisable for you to stay in bed until you're strong enough." The man hissed.
Despite his words, she still protested. "I was told to come to Glamour Entertainment today. What impression would I leave if I don't make it there today? They might say I'm abusing the little privilege I have."
Pierce chuckled softly and pushed her back onto the bed again. "I don't think that's necessary again."
