Queenie stayed in the laboratory for three hours. When she opened the door, she was surprised to see Pierce outside her door.
"How long have you been here?" She asked and the man grinned.
"Like five minutes ago but when I saw you rounding up, I decided to wait for you." He replied and she nodded and walked ahead of him.
Glancing at the paper in her hand, he asked inquisitively, "What did the test results say?"
"They're perfectly fine." She replied but suddenly stopped walking and glanced at him. Before he knew what was happening, she dragged him into a corner.
"Tell me, were you one of the children my mother used for experimenting?" She asked and the man shook his head.
"Just like you, they used me to threaten my grandparents when they tried to leave the research as well. The Verlice funded the research until they learnt the truth about it. Your mother couldn't stand by and watch us die, so she continued looking for a cure." He replied.
