"Tomorrow is my father's funeral. I have to be in Maile before tomorrow with the children." Queenie explained to Langdon and his wife.
Although his wife was a little reluctant to part with them, she had no choice.
Queenie also smiled awkwardly and assured her they'd be back before she knew it.
"How about Pierce? Will he be going with you as well?" Langdon asked but Queenie shook her head.
"According to him, he has something really important to take care of. I'll just leave with the children." She said with a small smile and the elderly man nodded.
"In that case, safe journey to Maile. Our condolences for your loss." Langdon said with a small smile.
"I know." Queenie retorted, then nodded at her children. They walked out with her and into the car. She had dropped by at Pierce's villa and taken a car.
"I've never been to Maile before, mommy. Is it a beautiful place with lots of trees and flowers and beaches?" Aster asked excitedly from the backseat.
