The forest was quiet, a little quieter than usual.
I had decided to step out myself, there was no way I was going to allow that little boy to escape just like that.
Right now, the only sounds in the forest were our boots crushing dry leaves and the wind pushing through the trees above us.
The sky was still grey, with the morning sun barely breaking through the clouds.
I had stepped out just immediately I got the report. Though as usual Jerome had tried to convince me to stay behind but I just couldn't.
This was a slap to my face. How was it possible for Mira to break the boy out of the castle, even with All of my security.
It baffles me and just as Jerome had said, maybe there was someone helping them, probably an inside man, that was something I would have to deal with later.
For now, my top priority is to bring the boy back to the ashborn castle.
