Aria's POV
Walking back to my room became a daunting task. As the news had spread, the pointing fingers and sneering looks were worse this time.
I could hear the whispers of ‘whore’ left and right. A few female pack members had asked me the same question that Claire had asked me with fake smiles and laughs.
I understood why they thought that way. There was no other reason that the Alpha King would want me, if not to be his whore. It made sense in their eyes, but it still hurt because it wasn't true. I didn't want them to get to me, but it was impossible.
Immediately I got to my room, I quickly closed the door, and leaned my forehead against the door with a sigh.
Even though we had both agreed to keep our status as mates secret for security purposes, a small part of me was tired of the drama of always hiding my mate from people.
“This sucks.” I muttered to myself. Thank the goddess we were leaving today because I wasn't sure I could bear another second in the Gray Moon Pack.
