Sometimes I worried that I wasn't a good person.
I really tried to be. I always did everything I was supposed to. I went to college and got my business degree. I worked at a great company with amazing opportunities. I fell in love with an amazing girl.
The only problem was that Jovie Wimberly never exactly fell in love with me in return.
I did everything to get her to. I was nice to her, I tried to make her happy, I was patient with her. Any other man would have just given up on Jovie years ago.
But not me.
