JADE
I opened my box and took out my bag. I searched the bag but could not find the black fancy bag that contained my jewelry.
I gulped and my heart began to race. I searched thoroughly but still didn't find it. I began to search all over my hotel room but it wasn't there.
Tears began to roll down my cheeks as I tried to retrace my steps. Ever since entering the boat, I had not taken my eyes off the bag until I got to the hotel.
I gasped when I recalled that I had fallen asleep. The door was bolted from inside by me so there was no way anyone could have gotten into the room except.....there was another door and I didn't realize it then.
"How could I have been so careless? I never should have paid that skipper in gold. I would have at least one piece of jewelry left in my pocket. I should not have fallen asleep. Why did I make such a mistake?"
I fell to my knees and broke down in tears, "Where do I start? What do I do?"
