When Zac got to the hospital, he had the nurse give him a shot, and once he felt better, he brushed the whole thing off and threw himself into work.
But by lunchtime, that same wave of nausea hit him again.
Frowning, Zac pushed his food away. Just the smell of it made him feel sick, and he only felt slightly better once it was cleared from the room. But then the hunger kicked in loudly, his stomach growling nonstop.
He hadn’t eaten breakfast, and now he couldn’t get through lunch either. At this rate, his stomach wouldn’t be the one taking him down—low blood sugar would.
