The whole palace filled with silence after Daniel made his renouncement of being the beta of the pack.
Rachel locked herself in her room, as everyone blamed her, some gossiped that Rachel was mad, elders in the palace talked about dethroning her, and even Alpha Axel was not supporting her.
“Rachel” Davina called, “Rachel, please come out please” Davina pleaded, banging hard on the door.
“She's mad,” some maids whispered as they passed by. “She curses at everything, and now she accuses Arya of being Athena” They laughed. Davina stared brazenly at them with a hostile glare. The Maids quickly left in fear.
“Let me try,” Alpha Axel said, coming closer.
“Alpha Axel” Davina's mouth fell open. “I have tried everything I could but she wouldn't open the door for me” Davina explained, her face etched with sadness.
Alpha Axel nodded reassuringly as he gestured for Davina to move, leaning closer he shut his eyes tightly. Davina stared at him blankly.
